Dr. Strom went on to complete residencies in general and laparoscopic surgery at New York Medical College in Westchester.
Dr. Strom specializes in bariatric, or weight loss, surgery. He commonly performs gastric banding, Roux-Y gastric bypass, revisional bariatric surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, and laparoscopic surgery. He also performs corrective surgery for hernias and abdominal issues such as gallbladder removals and appendectomies. Dr. Strom has been awarded Top Doctor of New Jersey Monthly magazine from 2007 through 2012. He also serves as medical director at The Center for Advances Bariatric Surgery where he teaches lap-band courses.
