Karyn Ginsburg, MD is a member of Summit Health’s Endocrinology team. Dr. Ginsburg practices general endocrinology with expertise in diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, hypercalcemia, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. Her special clinical interests include thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound-guided biopsies, as well as women’s endocrine disorders.
Dr. Ginsburg prioritizes getting to know her patients and being aware of their medical issues and any psychological, emotional, or social factors that may influence their condition. She says this approach is particularly important with treating diabetes. “Diabetes is not a simple disease. The management of diabetes is greatly affected by outside stressors, and it, in turn, affects every facet of a patient’s life.”
Dr. Ginsburg’s calling to health care came early and decisively. She had surgery at a young age, performed by a surgeon who made a lasting impression on her. In middle and high school, she frequently volunteered at her local hospital, and by high school, she was confident she’d pursue a medical career. Today, she’s paying forward the experience she had as a child—making a difference in a patient’s life—and appreciating the opportunity. “There is no greater pleasure for me than to hear from patients that I have helped make them feel better,” she says.
When she’s not seeing patients, Dr. Ginsburg enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. In addition, she is a proponent of improving community awareness of proper nutrition and lifestyle choices and improving care for the aging population.

Friendly staff, very knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Ginsburg took the time to fully answer all my questions and address the concerns I had about controlling my blood sugar and how to live healthy with diabetes.

This was my first visit, and I will most definitely go back. Dr. Ginsberg was wonderful. She answered all of my questions and gave me information on a pump that sounds awesome. I also discussed the dexcom with her. She discussed my medications with me, and we made a follow-up appointment virtually to discuss how the dexcom is working once I put it on. I would recommend her to everyone. The office staff were so helpful, setting me up on line to check my upcoming appointment, etc. The nurse who did my vitals was wonderful as well. I have no complaints.
