Overall a refreshing experience with knowledgeable and professional staff and great follow up. Katherine Mader provided the exam and treatment at the time of the visit that made me feel that this was truly an investment in my health. I came in for a routine skin cancer screen after missing that past two years and this was by far more thorough that the one I had at another organization.
Would be helpful for new patients to have directions on parking. Zocdoc allowed for me to make an appointment on days when Katherine was away so had to reschedule. Pictures only included outside building occupied by many businesses so it took a few turns on the floor for me to find it. Now that I am familiar, not a problem.

Kate is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to scenic southern Utah in her teen years and spent the next twenty years moving her way northward for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in biology/chemistry. The National PA Foundation graciously awarded Kate an academic scholarship while attending the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program. In 2009 she graduated with honors with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah School of Medicine. She has thoroughly enjoyed working in general dermatology for twelve years. Her involvement with the University of Utah School of Medicine as adjunct faculty has been truly rewarding as she has been able to participate in their rural medical rotations in Africa and Nepal. Her particular specialty interests include skin cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as autoimmune skin conditions. She is currently a diplomate with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
In her spare time, she enjoys some urban farming and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to call the Bay Area her new home and is looking forward to pursuing surfing and scuba.

Katie and her staff were wonderful. They were friendly and she made sure all of my questions were answered, provided clear instructions on next steps, and even let me take home some samples. It was a quick and very comfortable visit.
