As a part of her philosophy of patient centered care, she does not typically prescribe the chronic use of benzodiazepines (Xanax, Ativan, Valium, Klonopin, etc) and if obtaining a prescription for this type of medication is your primary reason for seeking a psychiatrist, she may not be the best fit for you and your goals. Of note, as a standard of practice, Dr. Laubach does not complete forms ( ex. short term disability or accommodation forms) at initial appointments as completing such forms requires extensive knowledge of an individual’s symptoms and functioning which requires several visits.
Dr. Laubach exclusively provides medication management services and does not perform long term disability assessments, fitness for duty assessments or other court ordered assessments. If these services are something you are seeking, she is not the right physician for your needs.
Dr. Laubach is originally from Louisiana and completed medical school in Brisbane, Australia at the University of Queensland in 2016 and completed her Psychiatry residency at LSU New Orleans in 2021. After completing residency, she worked at a behavioral health urgent care and a facility-based crisis unit providing treatment to those in mental health crises. As your outpatient psychiatrist, she will work together with you to develop a treatment plan that is individually tailored to you to best address your needs. In her spare time, Dr. Laubach enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, travel, food, and watching the New Orleans Saints.
