I've been treated by Dr. Young for several years now. She is tough but kind and always willing to adjust her treatment plan according to your symptoms. Highly professional and likeable. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for the right kind of help.

Dr. Young provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individual and family psychotherapy. She works with people of all ages but has a particular interest in working with adolescents, college students and young adults as they navigate the transition to independence from their families. Dr. Young treats a variety of psychiatric symptoms and diagnoses including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and ADHD (both childhood and adult). She has helped many people work through difficult life circumstances using a combination of cognitive, behavioral, and emotive techniques and believes that it is important to work closely with her patients to develop a comprehensive plan that suites their individual needs.
Dr. Young graduated from Duke University where she majored in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. She attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her residency in general psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. She went on to complete a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute and a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry as part of the joint Cornell and Columbia University program. She was formerly on staff at the Barnard College Furman Counseling Center.
