Dr. Landherr was the absolute best OBGYN I have ever visited. She really changed the way I feel about these types of doctor visits. I moved from Austin and now need to find a new doctor so I am sad.

The entire staff was amazing!! I could barely finish my paperwork before I was called back. I can honestly say no doctor has ever been so quick yet still kind and willing to answer questions! I've already booked my follow up appointment! If possible use them for any and all "lady" needs!!

More about Dr. Kathryn Landherr, MD
Dr. Landherr grew up in Central Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in journalism and pre-med. She began medical school at UTMB, went on to graduate from Texas A&M Health Science Center, then on to the University of Oklahoma for her residency program.
Once Dr. Landherr’s residency program was complete she was off to Tucson as an attending physician teaching residents at OU. While at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, she was honored as Section Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2008 – 2010. She also completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine with Andrew Weil, M.D. at the University of Arizona where she learned how to help women achieve optimal health throughout every cycle of life.
While in Tucson, she and her husband Shawn Tassone, MD (also an OB/GYN), decided to start their own private practice in 2002, as well as write two books together, “Hands Off My Belly! The pregnant Woman’s Guide to Surviving the Myths of Mothers, and Moods”, and “Spiritual Pregnancy: Nine Months of Spiritual Transformation Before You Give Birth”.
After spending 12 years in Tucson, an amazing opportunity became available to come back “home” to the Austin area, where most of her family resides, and to join the award winning team of physicians at Austin Area OB/GYN and Fertility.
Dr. Landherr is thrilled to have the opportunity to raise her four children amongst family in the beautiful hill country that she has always called home. She is looking forward to basketball and baseball with the kids, and perhaps a little golf, hiking, and watersports during the little free time she has.

Dr. Landherr was great! I get very anxious when going to the doctor, particularly the GYN, and she was very kind and understanding of this. She took things slowly and made sure that I knew what she was doing and why, and has been great at every appointment I've had with her. The nurses that work with her are also amazing. They are quick to return my calls when I have questions and make sure that if the time to an appointment is longer than is ideal that they help me with managing any symptoms and problems until I can be seen.

This office was amazing! I have been looking for a gyno for awhile now, and when I went in I noticed the facilities were very nice and the staff was very accommodating. I actually was called in before I finished my paperwork. When Dr. Landherr came in she was kind,and listened to any concerns I had and took them seriously.She was efficient with my annual exam, and the nurse practitioner was so accommodating. I will definitely be returning.

The first time I went in for an annual with Dr.Landherr she was very friendly and spent a lot of time with me disussing my concerns. But this time it was very rushed and the pelvic exam was not as gentle. Both times I waited more than an hour to see her.

I have tried out many OB/GYNs throughout my six years in Austin and Dr. Landherr is by FAR the best. She's personable, caring, and spends time listening to all of your concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Landherr to anyone looking for an OB/GYN. (I have only seen her for GYN)

Dr. Landherr is not only a wonderful ob-gyn, she's a terrific person. While I started to see her as my routine gynecologist, once my partner and I decided we wanted to try to start a family, she was very helpful and provided a lot of useful and informative guidance. Now I am 40 weeks pregnant and we're waiting for our baby to come any day now. Throughout the pregnancy Dr. Landherr has been patient, open-minded, compassionate, a great listener. She also has a WONDERFUL staff who have answered many of my questions and are always super warm and friendly. Bonus is that her husband is also in the practice and two times when I had to come in on short notice, he was able to see me when Dr. Landherr was unable. That's really nice and helps a lot when you're pregnant and worried!
Wait times can be a little tough, but to me it's never been a question that it's worth sticking with this practice.

dr landherr was nice and quite competent. apparently she was in clinic and on call so she was running really behind. I didn't get to the exam room till an hour and a half after my arrival and then waited as she finished up with 2 additional patients. the office was closed when I left so I didn't get to set my next appointment or get the information packet and other information I needed. overall I think future visits will be good. but being in clinic and on call perhaps the staff could notify patients if she is running more than 30 min behind.

I'm always a little nervous when having to switch to a new Dr. (my OB/GYN retired), you never know if your personalities will match. Well let me tell you, Dr. Landherr is someone I feel 100% comfortable with, I felt like she cared and listened to me (I have already recommended 2 people to her). I'd also like to say that I LOVE that everything is in one place (physical, mammogram, blood work, ultrasound, etc.), Her staff from check-in, to assistant that took my blood pressure and asked me questions, to her transcriber were all very kind and personable. Great experience. The office was a little tough to find at first, but I LOVE how I was treated by the office staff, nurses, and the doctor.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed with Dr. Landherr and her clinic. I really like it there so far! I came in as a new patient and the paperwork was minimal compared to previous clinics I have been to which was so nice and most of it is done electronically which is so convenient. Setting up my file at check in was a tad long but the receptionist was very friendly and had told me that the day had been crazy and hectic and you could tell- there was a lot of people in the waiting room, but the waiting is very spacious with lots of seating. Despite them being really busy, my wait was not long at all. Dr. Landherr was very nice, helpful, easy to talk to and straightforward which I appreciate. I look forward to having Dr. Landherr as my new doctor!
