Dr. Kathy Vuu received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington and her optometry degree at Pacific University. After a short time of traveling, she returned to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and joined the King LASIK team in 2005.
Dr. Vuu was born in Vietnam, but her family (including her parents and five siblings) immigrated to the United States when she was 5 years old. Her parents have been a beautiful and impactful model of love to her, helping shape her character and encourage her to live with purpose and intention, and to invest in things that are close to her heart and bare eternal value.
Since 2005, Dr. Vuu has been part of Cornerstone’s many medical missions that have reached Vietnam and Cambodia, providing free medical, dental and eye care in less-reached villages where healthcare is scarce and resources are not readily available. She serves on the Cornerstone mission’s core team, and has helped lead teams overseas yearly. These missions have transformed her life and have helped strengthen her values, thanks to the joy and blessings she finds in the patients and children whom she has served as well as the people whom she has served with. “You go thinking you’ll change their life, but, in turn, God uses them to change yours.”
