Read lots of good reviews on his bedside manner but got the less interested version... well perhaps just got him on his not as great days. other than that he's been a good doctor so far. Seeing him for toe removal and flat foot problems. After a 2nd visit healing appears to be going very well. so thats a good sign.

Dr. Cheng is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has the distinction of being Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Board Certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot & Ankle Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of both the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and American
Society of Podiatric Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Texas Podiatric Medical Association, and Dallas County Podiatric Medical Society.
Dr. Cheng graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1987. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, he then completed a one-year podiatric internship in New York City followed by a three-year reconstructive foot & ankle surgical residency in Los Angeles.
Dr Cheng's training encompassed all aspects of trauma and reconstructive surgery of the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle as well as sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. He continues to actively attend and participate in surgical training courses offered all around the country as part of his ongoing efforts to update on the latest skills, knowledge, and technology.
Dr. Cheng is an active medical staff member of Dallas Medical Center, MicroSurgical Institute, Texas Specialty Hospital, Legacy Surgery Center of Frisco, Baylor Medical Center-Carrollton, Medical Center of Plano, Methodist McKinney Hospital, and Baylor Medical Center-Garland.
Dr Cheng believes in establishing a good rapport and open communication with his patients. Only then will the doctor and patient be partners on the "road to ambulatory wellness....."

Seemed a bit impatient. He wouldn't let me finish my sentences and it was almost like he wasn't listening to me. I have to go back for a follow up so I hope he is a more active listener the next time.

I was taken inside as soon as I completed all the forms which took an half an hour even though I had some already done. My medical history is complicated.

All the personnel were very professional, helpful and friendly. They made me feel as if I were a returning patient. As soon as I got to the office, they took care of me and the wait time was practically none. All the required equipment was handy and I did not have to go all across town to get an X-ray. I was in and out in no time. The doctor was very easy going, knowledgeable, friendly and personable

Dr. Cheng is great. He is very personable, his bedside manner is excellent and he never makes you feel rushed or that you are just another appointment in the books to get through. He took the time to listen to and answer all of my questions, (and I had a lot) answered them throughly, and explained everything. He is the most pleasant, knowledgeable Podiatrist/Surgeon I have ever seen (and I have seen quite a few) and would recommend him to anyone with any sort of foot/ankle/toe problem!!

Dr. Cheng had my foot x-rayed with immediate results (due to digital x-ray machine). He took all the time I wanted to explain what the issues were and started treatment immediately. He and his staff are very personal as well. Overall, a very good experience.
