Dr. Kelly Kovaric, a Board-Certified Pediatrician, graduated summa cum laude from Texas A&M and then began her career in kids as a middle school language arts and drama teacher here in Austin. She soon discovered her true calling as a pediatrician and entered medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. There she helped publish a paper on preterm labor in the journal of Molecular Endocrinology and served as President of the Pediatric Interest Group. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Children's Medical Center Dallas where she later served as a pediatric hospitalist upon completion of residency.
Dr. Kovaric is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society. Her career interests include international adoption, congenital heart disease, and premature infants.
Dr. Kovaric is thrilled to be back in Austin with her husband and two sons (Andrew and Aiden, a former preemie.) She enjoys theater, running, and medical missions.
