Dr. McDonald received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, and then graduated with honors from Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining St. Joseph Health, she served in several roles in the US Army and Veteran's Health Administration. Dr. McDonald is very passionate about the health of veterans, and enjoys providing care to those who have selflessly served our country. Her personal mission of providing high-quality health care closely mirrors the St. Joseph Health's mission, which is, in part, why she was drawn to serve in Brenham, where several veterans are able to receive civilian care. She loves providing multi- generational care in a rural healthcare setting, and has collaborated with Advanced Practice Clinicians in several rural markets. She also serves as Area Medical Director for St. Joseph Health, providing supervision and collaboration for urgent care clinics and city-owned clinics in the Bryan/College Station area. Dr. McDonald enjoys being part of a team that is working toward the same goal of high-quality, compassionate care, and she works hard to develop lasting relationships with her patients and team.
