Clinical Focus
In my private practice, I provide individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents and adults. I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy in my treatment approach.
Education and Training
I obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from Miami University and a MS degree in mental health counseling from Pace University. I worked in a private practice as a therapist for two years, and then went on to get my Ph.D. from the University at Albany.
During my doctoral program, I received training at University at Albany's psychological services center, Capital District Psychiatric Center's forensic unit, and Albany Medical Center's family medicine and pediatric neurology units. I subsequently completed a predoctoral internship at Brown University's medical school, during which I worked with veterans requiring home-based care, adults in primary care populations, and adults in a psychiatric partial hospitalization program.
After obtaining my doctoral degree, I completed two years of postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University's medical school. During my fellowship, I received advanced clinical training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in a partial hospitalization program.
