Dr. Kasten was very busy but took the time to look at my eye which had an infection in it. He gave me a coupon for the perscription because my "eye drops" were kind of expensive they faxed over my perscription to my pharmacy by the time I went to pick it up, it was ready which was convenent. I went to him yesterday and already my eye is much much better and is a lot less read. He is a good guy and I will plan on seeing him again for my contact lenses (his office).

The environment was very friendly, professional yet in a warm caring way. All of the aid's and the Doc himself provided excellent patient care. I would totally recommend them to others even if it wasn't related for optical care. I went in and was very nervous and I was awesomely assured everything would be taken care of by I wanna call her D because she was soo cool and professional at the same time.

Dr. Kasten was born and raised in Westbury, Long Island.. He is a board-certified specialist in the practice of comprehensive ophthalmology. He has particular expertise in cataract surgery and in the implantation of advanced-technology replacement lenses.
Dr. Kasten received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1977, and graduated from New York Medical College in 1982. He completed a medical internship at Worcester Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, and served a residency in ophthalmology at New York Medical College. Dr. Kasten is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He entered private practice in Boynton Beach in 1987 and a year later opened a second office in Boca Raton. Dr. Kasten specializes in general ophthalmology with a primary focus on refractive cataract surgery. During the past twenty years, he has performed thousands of cataract operations.
Dr. Kasten was one of the first ophthalmologists in Florida to become certified to implant the new Crystalens ® intraocular lens; to date, he has implanted several hundred lenses with excellent results. To reduce or eliminate the need for glasses following cataract surgery, Dr. Kasten offers limbal relaxing incisions for the correction of astigmatism during cataract procedure..

I felt rushed.I told the Dr. that I was allergic to a certain ingredient, he told me to ask the pharmasist if that was in the eye drops.It was. I had to call him after hours and see him again the next day.
I was not seen by him, he sent out a script with the nurse.
Not being a regular patient I was not given the best care.

Most expensive eye exam i ever had with really good insurance.
Buyer beware ask all cost before using this doctor your insurance might not cover that much of what he charges .
Then they try to sell you the most expensive glasses to boot!
He does have a very nice staff that does all his work though!
