Dr. Kenneth Mark is a fellowship-trained cosmetic and Mohs’ surgical dermatologist with practices in Southampton, East Hampton, and SoHo, Manhattan. He graduated from Cornell University as a National Scholar, one of Cornell’s most prestigious awards. Dr. Mark then graduated Magna Cum Laude and 2nd in his medical school class, at SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where he was also elected to the prestigious AOA Medical Honor Society. He then served his internship in Internal Medicine at Columbia University and residency in the world-renowned, NYU Department of Dermatology.
For 15 years, he has taught the dermatology surgery clinic as a Clinical Assistant Professor of the NYU Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Mark passed his certification by the American Board of Dermatology. Wanting to be a true expert in cosmetic procedures and skin cancer, he did a 2-year fellowship, to sub-specialize in Mohs’ micrographic surgery for skin cancer, as well as Botox, Lasers, Fillers, Chemical Peels, and Sclerotherapy. One of the accomplishments Dr. Mark is. most proud of is having been voted one of the “Best Doctors” in the United States, as voted by peer physicians in his specialty. This extreme honor is only granted to the top 5% of doctors nationwide!
His medical career is colored by many outstanding contributions to medicine, including several publications, research, and scientific presentations and he keeps himself up to date with the latest scientific developments by lecturing and regularly attending international meetings. He has received the prestigious Fisher Resident Silver Award and the Husik Prize. Besides skin cancer and cosmetic concerns, patients see him for a variety of medical reasons, including acne, rosacea, eczema, and hair loss.
Dr. Mark is recognized and valued as a clinical thought leader and has consulted for and been on the Speakers’ Bureau as well as scientific advisory boards for Genentech (specifically for their advanced basal cell carcinoma drug called Erivedge), Graceway Pharmaceuticals and Medicis (for imiquimod topical treatment for pre-cancers and superficial skin cancers) and Ultherapy (the only non-surgical procedure FDA-cleared to lift the skin).
Dr. Mark is also regarded as an expert in the MiXto fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, He prides himself on helping patients choose the optimal cosmetic procedure(s) for their concerns as well as being an expert injector of fillers and Botox to consistently obtain natural results for his high-profile celebrities as well as local clientele.
Dr. Mark is also known for finding the best new technologies for his patients and not simply jumping on the bandwagon. In this vein, he also added two Coolsculpting machines to his practice to help those looking for a non-invasive, non-surgical option to eliminate fat. By being able to offer Dual-Sculpting, Dr. Mark and his staff can help patients lose twice the fat in half the time!
