Dr. Charlotten is pleased to care for the residents of Elmhurst and its surrounding communities. Dr. Charlotten has over ten years of experience caring for adults and children. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
Prior to starting Q-Care Affordable Medical Care, Dr. Charlotten served as Medical Director at AHRC Health Care - an organization that among other services provides primary care to adults and children with intellectual and other developmental disabilities - from 2003 to 2008.
Dr. Charlotten attended the Stanford University School of Medicine and obtained his medical degree (MD) in 1998. He completed a three-year residency training program in family medicine at Beth Israel's Residency in Urban Family Practice. While there, he served as Co-Chief Resident in Family Practice.

Like many of you, I decided to go to Dr. Charlotten after looking at his reviews on here and being impressed that he went to Stanford University. Big mistake as all that glitters isn't gold. He might have went to Stanford University but he has a community college attitude. He is smug and has a very cold bedside manner.
During one of my visits, I had told him that I slipped out of the shower and hit my head against the wall. I wanted to make sure that I didnt have a concussion or something. This guy didnt even check the back of my head and was paying more attention looking at his computer and typing. If I tried to ask something, he would stay shut and focus on his computer screen looking all angry ready to burst. He gives no feedback and makes you feel uncomfortable sitting there while he looks irritated.
Towards the end of my visit, while I was still in the room, I requested for a refill of a medicine. He got upset and said "You always do this". If he had given me the opportunity to speak and if he actually focused on the patient and not the computer screen, I would have asked him beforehand. As I stepped out of the consultation room, I saw him bolt out of the office and head to the parking meter to add more time. No wonder he couldnt wait to get rid of me. How about telling the patient to hold on, go pay your parking meter and then come back? Or better yet, pay for a parking spot at Elmhurst Hospital which is right across the street?
I can't emphasize this enough. Avoid this doctor at all costs. Don't be impressed by his schooling and ratings like I was. It does not reflect this Doctor's rude, cold, pompous attitude.

In addition, he provided suggestions regarding my ongoing treatment and referred me to the right specialist for my condition. I highly recommend Dr.Kevin Charlotten, MD and his office to all patients. Dr. Charlotten's staff was also helpful and everyone made me feel very comfortable during my visit.
