Excellent. Follow-up visit for back surgery. Everyone in office is friendly & caring. Dr. McCracken is the best doctor/surgeon I have ever encountered. He still cares even after 1 years of the first surgery I had. Because of him & his staff, my life is so much better. So much less pain.

Dr. McCracken has developed a caring and holistic approach in treating his patients. At the Orthopaedic & Spine Center of New Jersey, we believe surgery should always be the last resort. The practitioners strive to assist the patient in the management of their spinal pain/disorder with an emphasis on restoring function in a caring, empathetic manner. If surgery were necessary, we will do the best job possible and “take great care of our patients”.

At my office visit I was taken promptly, and it was such a thorough visit. I couldn't be happier with Dr. McCracken and his wonderful staff. Dr. McCracken listened to every word I said, where my issues were, about where and when the pain got so intense it made me walk into his office. I met Dr McCracken as a second opinion for back surgery. Dr McCracken spent more time with me in that first visit than my other dr (in three visits). He reviewed every MRI frame explaining what the image was showing him. He reviewed all of my previous procedures and therapies explaining that surgery should be a last option. His understsanding of pain, his compassion and ability to explain back surgery and make it easy to understand were just a few reasons why I chose him for my back surgery. My first back surgery was great. The day after surgery, Dr McCracken came in to my room, explaining how the surgery went, what he found and explained what the next steps were. My suite mate wanted to know who was that doctor. She had never heard a doctor with such compassion and caring. The surgery was a total success. For the first time in four months, I was able to climb a flight of stairs on the day after surgery. I have had emergecy phone calls as well. I had several conversations on the weekend, including sending pictures to his phone. Early the next week, I needed a second sugery because of my wrong doing. My back surgeries were a long process, and Dr McCracken was beside me every step of the way. From recomending the right physical therapy after surgery to suggesting vitamins and supplements after surgery.
