Dr O'Donnell was awesome! He explained exactly what was happening with my shoulder and how he was going to repair it. Answered all of my questions and concerns. Very down to earth and does not have the "I'm better than you" doctor complex. He is very upbeat and genuinely wants to help his patients. I can't wait to have my shoulder surgery and get back to where I was before my accident.

Dr. O’Donnell is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in joint replacement, preservation, and reconstruction. He attended medical school at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. Dr. O’Donnell then completed his residency at the University of Miami where he received extensive training in joint replacement and reconstruction, as well as, advanced training in fracture care while working at the nationally recognized Ryder Trauma Center in Miami. While in Miami he had the privilege of working as an assistant team physician for the Miami Marlins and the University of Miami Hurricanes football team.
Following residency Dr. O’Donnell then returned home to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University where he received advanced training in minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. While in fellowship he served as an assistant team physician to the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers, as well as Villanova and St. Joseph’s University. He is the founder and director of content for the worlds largest orthopedic surgery audio review lecture series, responsible for helping countless orthopedic surgery residents in training around the globe pass their board examinations.
Dr. O’Donnell could not be happier to return home to serve the people of Philadelphia. He was born in south Philadelphia and grew up in New Jersey. He currently resides in the city with his wife and their two golden retrievers. On the weekends they can be found hiking, camping, skiing, and exploring all that the city and living in the Northeast has to offer.

After arriving in waiting room,
Was told the appointment was not with the correct ‘type’ of orthopedist.
Arrived for appointment made two weeks ahead of time., from
Out of state.
Referred out, via post it note, in a strange manner.
That could have been done at prior telephone contact or in a professional manner.
Office was inside a Physical Therapy suite. No accessible parking available.
Drove to the city, & dealt with parking.
