Dr. Khuram Khan is a board certified Ophthalmologist. He is fellowship trained in retina and vitreo-retinal surgery. Dr. Khan graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to earn his medical degree at Pennsylvania State University, where he served as Class President. Dr. Khan completed his internship in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed an ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York, Downstate in Brooklyn. Dr. Khan completed a fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at Tulane University under the tutelage of world-renowned retinal surgeon, Dr. Gholam Peyman. He completed additional retina fellowship training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Before moving to Maryland, Dr. Khan worked for several years in Las Vegas, NV where he ran a successful solo practice. Dr. Khan has served as an investigator in a phase 3 clinical trail and has published articles in peer reviewed journals. In his spare time Dr. Khan enjoys golfing, snowboarding and spending time with his wife and four children.

Dr. Khan took an appointment with my mom at the very end of the day. He took his time with her as she explained her challenges, and he carefully checked the issues, explained what was going on, and let her know about what to expect/do in the future. She sometimes has communication challenges and is generally very wary of medical providers. However, she found Dr. Khan so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful that she wanted to tell her friends about it. His office staff were also very communicative and helpful. So glad we've found him!

Dr. Khan is a retinal specialist. His office is small but is supported by a super efficient staff. He doesn't have a bunch of fancy machines but he does have the best and latest equipment. I walked away from my appointment well informed and wiser to any complications that may form in the future. I really like him and his I will most likely return and highly recommend others to "see" him as well.

This is my go-to Retinal Specialist. Great Doctor, great bed side manner, always tries to explain things completely, and never makes a patient feel rushed. I like this doctor enough for me to drive 2 hours from Southern Maryland to Germantown for each appointment, he is just that good.
