Doctor Kim Le serves the community of Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Cornell University and completing a Masters in Public Health at Yale University, Dr. Le earned her medical degree from the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Canada. She went onto complete her residency in ophthalmology at McGill University.
Dr. Le is the Director of Low Vision Rehabilitation and Medical Education at Medical and Surgical Eyesite. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist and researcher, she treats and studies common eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy by performing surgeries, lasers and injections. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Vietnamese fluently, which makes her widely accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
During her consultations, Dr. Le explains ocular conditions and helps patients choose appropriate treatment plans. She often gives patients educational materials to read at home. Dr. Le works with a large team of health care professionals who guide patients through state-of-the-art diagnostic machines during each thorough office visit.
Dr. Le is passionate about medical education and international ophthalmology. Patients may interact with medical students and residents who Dr. Le teaches. Dr. Le volunteers overseas with charities including Orbis the flying eye hospital and Volunteer Eye Surgeons International.

Dr. Le is really wonderful. The wait isn’t as great. They seem over booked and under staffed. Usual I guess in our system. She truly was great, after 120 minutes of waiting for her.
But, I guess if we’re talking about her care - she actually was everything you’d want in a doctor. Caring. Respectful. Honest.

I waited 2 1/2 hours and saw the doctor for approx 3 minutes!!
At times, the front desk staff was very unprofessional and spoke to patients in a disrespectful manner.
Also, beware of any additional costly tests they may run on you. They ran extra tests on me without telling me...I thought what they were doing was a part of the general consultation. If you decide to go here (which I wouldn’t recommend), ask them if what they’re doing is a part of your general consultation or if it’s extra.

Excellent all staff except an Asian guy with purple patch of hair were warm and friendly. He was rude when I asked about waiting over an hour and 45 minutes declaring that the expected wait was 2 hours. I expressed that this should be noted on their website, so a person can determine whether they would prefer a different doctor. Thanks

She was very kind though I definitely felt like I was being rushed out the door. It’s important for a doctor to talk WITH a patient and not at a patient. The important tests were done however and I felt like I was in good hands. . The assistant is phenomenal, wish I would have got her name and Greg the technician was fabulous as well. The main waiting office is a little run down but don’t let that deter you.

The office needs a complete renovation it is extremely old and smells. The wait time is extremely long I was expecting whole process be like 1 hour. I wait for 2 hours plus once you get inside you still have to wait for doctor to see. Plan ahead don’t expect to get in at your appointment time.

The Medical Office is cramped, putting it mildly. It tool 2+ hours to be called for my eye exams. It took another 40 minutes to finish up the testing. I got to see the doctor at around 5 ish pm. She saw me for 5 minutes, went over all results, said I was fine, and sent me off saying “ see you in 9 months.”
Many of the patients were elderly and were waiting as long as myself.
Two out of the three women at reception were rude when an elderly woman walked in late for her appointment. The other staff were fine, but really seemed rushed, names were not given.
One staffer, a man who was supposed to be working, was in a room, on the phone screaming into the receiver. I asked him to lower his voice.
2+ hour wait, Office too small, inadequate staff, in a nutshell.

Dr. Le was great. Very pleasant and professional. The front desk staff however was not. They asked for your insurance even before greeting you or asking your name then abruptly tell you to be seated and wait. Felt like a piece of meat on an assembly line. Then after all that they contact me because they lost all records of my payment and wanted me to pay again (after already depositing my check) requested I contact my bank for a copy of the check and fax it to them, all at my expense. Poor record keeping or bookkeeping on their part makes it the responsibility of the patient to "prove" to them that payment was made or they'll charge you again because they can't bother looking through their records.

I was able to get a referral from my pcp for the appointment. You need a referral within the year to be seen. I had comprehensive tests done on my eyes including a perepheral scan and photographs of my retina.
Dr. Le was very professional and asked questions to become more familiar with my needs. She was gentle and thorough. She referred me for additional treatment and gave me a new perscription for glasses...

So I had a chalazion. So did you ever meet a cocky doctor who doesn't feel the need to speak to there patients...here it is. I waited too long, she tried to force her interns on me without asking poking and prodding me. Then when I asked questions it was as if she was annoyed. Sadly I'm not an uneducated patient that has no common sense.
I was so appalled I asked to see another doctor at the Office. I saw Dr. Moriarty yes...like Sherlock Holmes nemisis, things went much better after switching doctors. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to her as a doctor.
