About Dr. Kim Powers
Dr. Kim B. Powers, DO, has been treating chronic myofascial musculoskeletal syndrome, injuries from automobile accidents, and workers’ compensation injuries in Pinellas Park, FL, St. Petersburg, FL, and the surrounding areas since 1992.
Auto Injury Special: No out-of-pocket cost for evaluation of injuries sustained in a recent auto accident for those with valid auto insurance. We have extensive experience in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal pain and headaches.
Specializing in myofascial musculoskeletal syndrome and somatic dysfunction, Dr. Powers will work with you to assess your condition, perform necessary diagnostic testing, explain the probable cause, and design a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
We Provide Therapy and Treatment For:
- Chronic myofascial musculoskeletal syndrome – including headaches, herniated discs, arthritis, and more
- Auto Accident Injuries – including detection and therapy of soft-tissue and ligament injuries
- Workers’ Compensation – accepting most workers’ compensation claims, including out-of-state cases
Dr. Kim B. Powers, DO, is an osteopathic physician who earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Pinellas Community Hospital and is board-certified in Family Practice with a strong interest in manipulative medicine. The staff was extremely nice. I didn't get the front desk woman's name, but she was fantastic. I have really bad anxiety and she put me at ease. The doctor was very sweet, soft spoken with nice and comforting bedside manner. I'm glad I made the switch to Kim Powers.

Dr Kim was great! His office staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Dr Kim recruited me from the waiting room himself and took my vitals. Second time seeing Dr. Powers. In and out, easy to talk to and straight to the point. Did not try to push prescriptions, listened to my concerns and replied thoroughly. The office building is old but i’m not really worried about aesthetics as long as the correct service is provided. Staff was friendly and everyone had smiles on.

The doctor listened and I felt relaxed, even though I was a new patient and had just met him. I was really impressed at how easy it was to find a new PCP and book my appointment with Zocdoc! The app actually shows you dates and times that appointments are available. I was able to do this all in 15mins on my coffee break. So much easier then using my own insurance app.

I would not recommended this doctor to anyone. I scheduled an appointment saying I have a stye and other medical issues . I waited in the lobby for about 45 minutes and was seen for maybe 10 minutes. When I walked into his office there was open vials of meds everywhere the room was very messy. The doctor was sneezing and wiping his hands all over his face and making weird grunting noises. He checked my blood pressure and then randomly asked if I have stomach issues ,I said yeah I think I have IBS and he immediately wrote me a script without question and tried to send me out .i told him I didn’t come for stomach issues and that I have a stye and he looked at it for maybe a second and wrote me a prescription and sent me out . He seemed like he didn’t want to be there .i went to cvs to pick up the script and they said they never received one for me.i would not recommend this doctor to anyone very dismissive

After waiting for a considerable amount of time, I was brought back into the office. There were stacks and stacks of files throughout the office. Dr. Powers didn’t seem to genuinely listen to any concerns that I brought up. As a new patient, I expected him to attempt to get to know my health history to a certain extent, but he asked no questions. Rather than measure my height or weight, he asked for an estimation. Unpleasant experience overall and would not recommend.

Office room was cluttered and messy, Dr was on his phone most of the visit…. didn’t take his time to understand the reason for visit and felt super awkward lol.

Dr. was not engaged, or caring enough to listen to my needs, I'm a larger man and his bp cuff was automatic and last used on a much thinner patient. I had to shimmy my arm in and expectantly my BP was about 15pts higher. No second check, or manual test, or larger cuff was attempted. Only a referral to a cardiologist and Rx for meds.
After he wrote the Rx he then asked about my current meds, and didnt know what one was that I currently take at night for BP.
My other concerns were not further addressed, dismissed, or left un met.
I have had better exams for employment and at CVS than I did in his office.
Plus side, Office staff were extremely professional and prepared for my appt.
