Kirk Mendez is an attentive and detail-oriented orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, and serving his patients in Las Vegas. Dr. Mendez is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Mendez is fluent in English and Spanish. He is currently pursuing research about anatomic double bundle ACL reconstruction.
Dr. Mendez began his medical education at the University of Texas’s Houston Medical School. He completed his postdoctoral training in 2007. He began with a surgical internship at the Stanford University Medical Center. Dr. Mendez then became a junior resident of orthopaedic surgery and eventually, senior resident at the same institution. He completed his advanced orthopedics and sports medicine fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is affiliated with various Las Vegas hospitals, including University Medical Center, Mountainview Hospital, Saint Rose Dominican Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, and the Valley Hospital Medical Center.
