Dr. Langley is a compassionate therapist, dedicated to understanding and supporting her clients in times of need. Throughout her over ten years in practice, she has helped hundreds of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families overcome the challenges they face. Working with at-risk teens or adults battling depression, helping children with autism or counseling couples who are struggling; Dr. Langley focuses on each individual’s unique journey and needs, while maintaining a strong grounding in psychological theory, neurobiology and current research. Dr. Langley practices a psychodynamic, relationship based approach to therapy, and believes that we can make long lasting change only when we are able to explore our own narratives that have lead us to where we are.
Dr. Langley received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has obtained certifications in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, and is a certified administrator of the ADOS and the ADI. In her career, Dr. Langley has provided therapy in schools, outpatient hospital settings, and an outpatient psychology clinic. She also directed the Developmental and Special Needs Clinic at an outpatient clinic, providing assessment, treatment, school support and consultation. Dr. Langley currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Intercultural Montessori Language School in Chicago and Oak Park.
