Kristen "KJ" Jones is a master's trained Physician Assistant specializing in Primary Care. She is Nationally Board Certified by the NCCPA and licensed by the District of Columbia Board of Medicine.
Kristen is an honors graduate of the Drexel University/Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Kristen serves on the Gilead Sciences HIV Prevention Speaker Bureau where she delivers sexual health education lectures and is an advocate for Sexual Health Awareness within the local medical community. She is also a cum laude graduate of Temple University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Kristen strives to provide comprehensive primary care and maintains a patient-centered approach that empowers individuals to play an active role in their health and well being. She believes allowing patients to feel heard, comfortable, and in charge of their health, while also ensuring their visit is a friendly and pleasant experience is the key to the best care. Regardless of whether you desire an annual checkup or are seeking evaluation of a specific concern, laughter is one medicine Kristen always prescribes.
While Kristen offers the full spectrum of culturally competent care to all patients, her special interests focus on preventive medicine, infectious disease, gynecology, LGBTQ+ health, STI prevention and screenings, and PrEP/PEP. Please note, while Kristen can prescribe and manage a wide variety of contraceptive options, IUD's and implants such as Nexplanon are not prescribed.
Outside the office, you can find KJ walking her dog Stella along the National Mall, climbing mountains, and chasing waterfalls.
Kristen is continually humbled by the trust her patients place in her. She considers it an honor and a privilege to take care of you and your family.
