Dr. Lana B. Patitucci is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery. Dr. Patitucci received both her undergraduate and master degrees from Pennsylvania State University and completed medical school and residency training in otolaryngology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During her training, Dr. Patitucci was a member of Sigma Sigma Phi, an honorary osteopathic service fraternity.
Dr. Patitucci is trained in all aspects of of general and pediatric otolaryngology including endoscopic sinus, otologic, head and neck, and facial plastics surgery. They have a beautiful view of trees, which made for a more relaxing wait time, both in the waiting and exam room. The first time I ever saw an ENT, instead of saying hi and explaining what he was doing, he ran in like the building was on fire, jammed a tube down my nose, and made water shoot out of it. This was nothing like that. I filled out my paperwork before arriving, which made check-in much faster. The forms are on their website and can be typed, which I liked, as my hand gets tired, if I have to write by hand too long. It didn't take too long to be called. Then height, weight, and blood pressure was checked. Afterwards, I waited in the exam room, where I enjoyed watching cicadas walk by, along the ledge. I also liked seeing all the trees, which made it feel like a golf course, even though it wasn't. I got a bit nervous hearing a doctor talk to someone in the next room, wondering if she would say the same things to me (not that it was bad--I just didn't know what to expect). I liked being able to wash my hands, while I waited, since I had to blow my nose. There was a small sink right there. The doctor seemed friendly and nice. I had just started talking about my symptoms when I was rushed out the door for a hearing test. I already had one before so was not too worried. This one had more types of tests, including an ear pressure test, which hurt, since it was loud. Then, while in the little booth, I could see when the lady was pushing the button for the other hearing tests, so I closed my eyes, not wanting to cheat. There were three different types of tests, including ones with tones and one in which you say the word she says at different volumes. Afterwards, the doctor went over the results with me. I have to go for more testing so do not know, yet, if any improvement is possible, but it's better than not trying, especially as I've already spent seven months trying to figure it out myself. When it came time to pick where to get more testing done, the doctor jumped in, helpfully, when I didn't know where to go. Most doctors probably wouldn't have bothered. All I really care about is getting better, so I can't say, one way or another, about her, until I find out if she gets results.

Seemed like she kept cutting me off. She prescribed a medication that I tried numerous times before and she would interrupt every time I tried to tell her that it didn't work. She's a nice lady but I likely won't be coming back.

I was excited to find this doctor had an appointment available. I am having chronic sinus issues and Dr.Patitucci, evaluated me, treating me with antibiotics and a nasal spray. She ordered a MRI which will be scheduled after the meds are complete. I have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks to review the results. I would recommend Dr. Patitucci.
