Dr. Matheson joins HMU from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she completed her training in the Department of Urologic Surgery. There she received advanced training in robotic, laparoscopic, and reconstructive surgery from leaders in the field. Her clinic interests include the treatment of prostate cancer, kidney surgery, kidney stones, and reconstructive surgery for both male and female patients.
Dr. Matheson graduated from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. She then earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Matheson was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time with her husband, running, and snowboarding.

The young lady at the check in desk (receptionist) was excellent. Very pleasant and even joked a bit with me. Sorry that I don't recall her name.
Dr. Matheson was very patient and informative. I really appreciated how she remembered our conversations weeks prior on the day of the procedure. That's paying attention to the needs and concerns of the patient! Thank you.
The entire staff was great on the day of the procedure. The best team I've seen in my life so far. 10/10!

I visited Dr Matheson for a continuation of care from my previous urologist who had moved. Therefore I did not need as much initial work up so my first visit was shorter tan had I been a new patient. Dr Matheson is personable, considerate, knowledgeable and a good communicator. She ordered treatment within accepted standard of care . I will return to her office and look forward to developing a dr-patient relationship. The office staff operated well. In they fact had a patient emergency to handle in the lobby and reacted quickly and responsibly. Office is clean and adequate comfortable seating.
