I was highly impressed by the original consultation visit. It was the most comprehensive evaluation I have ever experienced. Dr. Likver's superb knowledge, conscientiousness, concerns, inestimable professionalism were incomparable. The ensuing follow-up visit showed the above mentioned qualities were much in evidence. She devoted an extraordinary amount of time coupled with incisive explanation for each procedure performed. My personal experience with Dr. Likver revealed that she is an extremely knowledgeable physician, intensely compassionate, meticulously thorough, particularly in administering her specialty of pain management expertise. Her concern extended beyond treatment with follow-up calls about my post treatment reactions. Many contemporary physicians are deservedly criticize inadequate time allotted to patients, whereas she devoted an extraordinary amount of time to my health concerns.

Dr. Larisa Likver is a board-certified physiatrist with over 20 years of medical experience, specifically pain management, both in New York City and internationally. She has been trained in Prolotherapy by the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation, the leading institution for Prolotherapy education and research. For over 35 years, the Hackett-Hemwall foundation has hosted a medical missionary trip to Honduras.
Dr. Likver has advanced her expertise in Prolotherapy by participating in these missions in 2014 and 2015, dedicating her time and service to treat people who are otherwise unable to afford medical care.
She is also a specialist in Neural Prolotherapy. This treatment was developed by New Zealand physician Dr. John Lyftgoft. Dr. Likver participated in some of the few global conferences in Neural Prolotherapy to obtain training from Dr. Lyftogt himself. In 2013, Dr. Likver participated in the most comprehensive global conference for Neural Prolotherapy held in Guadelajara, Mexico — further solidifying her expertise in the treatment.
Additionally, Dr. Likver is recognized as a Pioneer by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and was one of the first to obtain Certification in Musculoskeletal Sonography in 2012. She has more than 10 years of experience implementing ultrasound guidance to dramatically improve the positive outcome of pain-alleviating procedures through directly targeted and precise injections with the help of real-time visualization.

During my pain consultation Dr. Likver explained the cause of my problem and outlined a course of treatment which included physical therapy. She was extremely generous with her time, answering in great detail all of my questions. After the first two treatments I'm pain free. Dr. Likver is a very giving professional dedicated to improving the quality of her patients lives. Her staff is excellent, as well.

I lived with pain for over 1 year I have seen several doctors who did not help me and misdiagnosed me. Dr. Likver spent over an hour evaluating my injury and correctly diagnosing me. Now after 4 treatments my pain is almost gone. I have a hopefull outlook that I will make a full recovery and continue with my active lifestyle.

Dr. Likver is very thorough, knowledgeable, and warm. I saw her for multiple visits receiving both prolotherapy and prp prolo for shoulder and achilles tendon injuries. Her treatments absolutely helped me to become functional again and move without pain.

Professional, competent, caring MD. I injured my right leg in an exercise class. I also sustained an injury to my right 5th toe. Dr. Likver was so efficient, pinpointed the problems during an exam and made me feel so much better by saying "It's not serious". I had injections to areas of my left foot for X-Rays for my toe (It was fractured). 4 weeks later I am fine, back at exercise class. Thank you so much Dr. Likver.

Dr. Likver does an excellent job explaining anatomy related to your problem and how the procedure works. She has excellent bedside manner and displays her extensive knowledge in her field with humility. I am very satisfied with the prolotherapy treatments I received under her care.
