Extremely thorough, was not in a rush, took the time to listen to all of my symptoms. She spent at least a full hour with me and asked lots of questions and gave good explanations. She was NOT condescending, rude, self-important, or in a big rush to get to the next patient.
Dr. Cowen does not rush you at your appointment. She is all about ensuring her patients feel their optimal best. I saw her for Hashimoto's / hypothyroidism. She is very open and likes to keep TSH around 1 instead of 3 or higher. She is incredibly thorough, well educated, personable. She is the first Endocrinologist I have seen (in the 17 years that I have had this condition) that I REALLY liked. I cannot recommend her enough as she is fine with adding T3 or using Armour to treat her patients. If you need an EXCELLENT Endocrinologist, look no further. As a bonus, the practice she is with has an online patient portal so you can review blood work results via email instead of having to drive to the office for results. FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Dr. Cowen was amazing. I was nervous coming in with tremendous uncertainty. She was kind and thorough, answering all of my questions, diligently reviewing my charts, and thoughtfully considering treatment. When too many providers rush patients and approach appointments haphazardly, my experience with Dr. Cowen was refreshingly productive.
My experience with Dr. Cowan was beyond favorable in that she took time to listen and is interested in helping determine the underlying cause of my present condition. I have seen doctors in every field over the past 10 months and am desperate for answers; she is the first to show genuine interest and concern. Thank you Dr. Cowen for taking the time and interest.

I was impressed by the thoroughness of my first patient visit. The facility is close to my home and quite new. I did not have to wait. Everyone was kind and considerate. My first experience with Dr Cowan was one of the most pleasant I have ever experienced. It instilled confidence in her knowledge and trust in her ability to follow thru. She thoroughly explained how she would proceed, what to expect and what the different treatment options might be. I am very happy I found her.

Dr. Cowan is absolutely everything you want in a doctor -- knowledgeable, up-to-date, well-read, but also patient, compassionate, and caring. On top of all that, she understands the limitations of insurance and looks for real world solutions. She's one of the best doctors I've encountered.

She is the rare combination of smart, informed, and still very personable while also being open minded. I highly recommend her!

Thank you Dr. Cowen for taking the time to talk with me in length about my health. It was nice to have someone seem to take a general interest in my health.

Very pleased with how through Dr. Cowen was with finding a diagnosis in my case. She spend a lot of time and asked many questions that were over looked by other doctors to find out what was wrong with me. She also called me directly on the phone several times to follow up with my care.
Wonderful. Dr. Cowen was compassionate, listened to all my concerns, took her time explaining everything, & was not condescending when she let me know that some concerns were not related to my issue.
Visit was good.
Awesome as always. Dr. Cowen is an amazing doctor and I am lucky to have found her. I know I can e-mail or call her with any problems or concerns and always get a quick response time. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an endocrine.
