Dr. Laura Stocksdale, who is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, completed her undergraduate work at Gettysburg College. After completing three years at Gettysburg,on the Dean’s List, she was accepted to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO).
While attending PCO, Dr. Stocksdale was taught by many knowledgeable clinicians and professors including Dr. JoAnn Bailey. During her final two years at PCO, Dr. Stocksdale completed rotations focused in pediatrics, contact lenses, low vision and eye disease. She also worked on rotation at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Stocksdale recently graduated from PCO with a Doctorate of Optometry as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Dr. Stocksdale enjoys working with a wide range of patients including children and adults. In addition, she strives to stay current on advances in optometric medicine including refractive conditions, ocular diseases and their treatments.
Dr. Stocksdale comes from a family of four that currently reside in Baltimore. As a Baltimore native, she is an avid Ravens and Orioles fan. She also enjoys going to the shore and exploring the restaurants, parks and museums of her new home, Philadelphia.

Most relevant
Due to confusion of incorrect time availability listed on Zocdoc, I could not be seen today. I waited up for hours after work so I wouldn't miss my appointment to not be seen. Not sure who's fault this is, given the fact that someone from their offices did contact me to reschedule my day to Thursday, which was courteous. However, I soon realized I could not make the rescheduled time and scheduled again for Friday, based on the availabilities shown on your site. Hopefully I don't run into this issue again.
