Dr. Laura Tsakiris was born and raised in the northeast. She attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pennsylvania and graduated magna cum laude in biology. Following this she spent 8 years in Pittsburgh Pa. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1984 and then did her residency at Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh part of the University of Pittsburgh health system.
Dr. Tsakiris has been in the Atlanta area since 1988. She started Chattahoochee Gynecology in 1989 and spent the first 16 years delivering babies at Northside Hospital. She went to a gynecology only practice in 2005. She now works daily at her office in Johns Creek and has operating privileges at Northside Hospital (Sandy Springs and Forsyth) and at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.
Dr. Tsakiris is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of Atlanta Women’s Medical Society and Johns Creek Medical Association. In her free time she is an avid tennis player participating in ALTA and USTA. She also enjoys skiing and reading.

Great appointment. Dr. T did a preconference AND post conference with me in her office to discuss my concerns and address issues see saw after my exam. I felt very comfortable talking with her. I also liked the mini changing room set up within the exam room that provided a small bench to sit on and hooks for my clothing. I give her office staff a 10/10!! I hope she does not retire any time soon.

I went in for my annual Pap smear and to get new birth controls I was shocked how quickly everything happened. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. I was called back at the time my appointment was scheduled. As a new patient, I met with the Dr. In her office and talked about my history and anything I was looking for. She explained everything, listened, and was not judgemental. She also didn't push anything on me, and gave me all my options. The entire process took less than an hour. It was awesome. I definitely recommend.

I love Dr. Tsakiris, she's great. She makes you feel comfortable and gives great recommendations and advice. It's a private practice so there's no dealing with heavy patient traffic, you're seen fast and you'll be pleased afterwards.

Dr. Tsakiris is very pleasant and professional. I can tell that she cares about her patients and is willing to answer any questions I have. I recommend her to anyone looking for a new ob/gyn. The wait time is normally short (less than 10 minutes) but this time I waited close to a half hour, I presume because the patient before me was late.

Office staff very pleasant and efficient. Dr. Tsakiris actually takes the time to TALK to you in her office, something you don't see anymore. She LISTENS to you, and considers everything in your medical history and the exam. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an awesome gynecologist. If I needed a GP, I'd go to her as well!
