She diagnosed what was wrong right away. I was worried but not anymore. I did have a tiny speck of metal stuck to the color part of my eye. She did let me know everything she was going to do beforehand.

Dr. Laura Wendlandt is a Minnesota native who could not handle the cold winters and decided to move to San Antonio in 2003. She received her undergraduate degree in Fargo, ND and her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2003. She moved to Texas and married a native Texan and the two of them are proud parents of a three year old son and eight month old daughter. When not busy with her growing family, Dr. Laura enjoys working out and traveling. She is excited to be a part of the Vision Source team and has a passion for helping people with their vision and medical problems. She brings to The Vision Source the expertise of working at a refractive surgery center and looks forward to sharing her knowledge with her patients.

In Laura's own words, the office was "controlled chaos" when I went in for my check-up. Otherwise, she was perfectly friendly and talkative, and wanted to make sure I understood what was going on. I would recommend her to anyone!

The Dr was very understanding of my needs and helped me pick the right kind of contacts to wear for my dry eyes as well as included treatment for allergies that irritated my eye as well. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend!

Doctor Wendlant was great. She took her time, and seemed to really care about the help she was providing.
I do think the practice does a hard sell on eyeglass lenses and frames. While they offered a 25% discount on frames, they were still very expensive.

They did not have my ZocDoc appointment in their appointments this morning, but there was an opening for 8:45 a.m. I had to wait a little, so I had them repair my prescription sunglasses while I waited. All the staff and Doc were excellent! So, it was worth the wait. Thank you!

She provided information that my previous eye doctor had not provided to me which would have made a great deal of difference in knowing what my actual needs for my eyes would have been. She gives you the sense that she is really concerned about the patient as a member of a family, that is really special.
