About Dr. Carlos Pessoa

Dr. Carlos E. Pessoa, O.D. is a therapeutic optometrist and licensed Texas glaucoma specialist dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered eye care. Originally from northeastern Brazil, he served a two-year service mission in the southern region of the country before earning a scholarship to Weber State University, where he majored in microbiology and chemistry. He was accepted into Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry a year before completing his undergraduate studies, ultimately earning both a bachelor of vision sciences and a Doctor of Optometry degree.

I will go back but there was some confusion by the office staff. I am a new patient and I booked online. I got a call the next morning asking numerous questions that I had answered online. I entered my insurance info online and I was amazed that it pulled up all of my insurance info. When I received the phone call they said they did not have my insurance info. I drove to their office the day before my appointment so I could give them my insurance card and make sure I had coverage. I explained this to the lady, She looked in the computer and said we have all of your insurance info already. Other than that everything was good.
