"You know the saying, ""Live your best life."" Have you ever really sat and thought about that saying in its entirety? It has a lot of depth! Life IS about living; however, sometimes living with depression, anxiety, or PTSD, it can appear we are living life to the fullest, but we're intentionally (or unintentionally) neglecting what's going on inside. The brain is a powerful thing, and when we forget to take care of it, it can impede our ability to be our best selves. Think of the brain as your vehicle; you aren't going to get very far without regular maintenance and the occasional repair, right?!
I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I did a year-long rotation through an NP-led clinic serving patients primarily with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I have experience with addiction and substance use disorders and work part-time at an acute detox and inpatient rehab facility. I have worked in hospice and palliative care for over 6 years and have developed a proficient skill in assisting people through grief and bereavement. I pride myself on therapeutic communication, cultural competence, and the ability to collaborate with my clients in developing a treatment plan tailored to them.
No matter the interventions we land on together, as your provider, I will give you the tools needed to maintain your mental health. Whether the tools provided are medications, therapy, life coaching, or a combination of all, my ultimate goal is to educate and empower you to ""live your best life while being your best self."""
