Verified Patient Reviews
I had a great visit with this provider. He is very knowledgeable and thank outside the box. He is patient, thorough and pays great attention to details and facts. I would recommend him to anyone.
I was super anxious going to see Dr Parish. I wanted to talk to him about going on accutane for my acne, which can be quite a difficult and long process but Dr Parish listened to everything I had to say and was extremely kind and knowledgeable and immediately agreed to start treatment! I'm so happy and grateful I chose him I walked out of the office feeling excited and comfortable with the treatment ahead. Also the receptionist is the bomb she's so funny and helpful.
Both times that I visted Dr. Parish, he was over 45 minutes late to the office resulting in wait times exceeding an hour for myself and multiple other patients waiting. The last time I was at the office, my appointment was scheduled for 4pm and I was not seen until 5:15pm. Dr. Parish is brash and comes off as very rude. He was not willing to listen to my opinion of the effectiveness of the treatment plan. He cut me off multiple times while I was speaking and brushed aside concerns I had over scars left by the liquid nitrogen tank he used to 'burn off' skin tags under my armpits. He sprayed in areas that I did not request to have sprayed where there were no visible tags, resulting in blotchy red scars that have not gone away nearly two months later. I left my second appointment feeling incredibly disrespected as a patient and would not recommend Dr. Parish under any circumstance.
Great! He saw me on time & quickly. Very convenient!
I asked about rash on my face that I had for about 10 years and Dr. Parish told me to buy a Mederma toner. Mind you it burns my skin and dries it out. He even told me that people shouldn't use moisturizer. :/
Excellent Service. Kind and Reassuring. Will see him for on now on.
Don't let bad reviews deter you from seeing Dr. Parish. He knows what he is talking about and has helped me when COUNTLESS other doctors have struggled. He is on the quiet side, dry sense of humor, but he is very empathetic and clear when explaining conditions. I would recommend him to anyone!
My overall experience at the office was time efficient, direct and successful. Found Dr. Parish on ZocDoc one day and had an appointment the next. The staff was polite and professional and I would not hesitate to return should I be in need of his services in the future.
Dr Parish is always so nice and he does an excellent job. I highly recommend him.
I rushed to Parish on my lunch break (jogging from University City) as a first time patient for a rash that I have seen several doctors for at Jefferson and Bryn Mawr Dermatology that could not pinpoint the cause or the best treatment. I filled out a few HIPPA forms and disclosures and afterwards was seen RIGHT away. After examining the area and discussing my lifestyle, job/pets/ etc for only a few minutes he was sure he had the proper diagnosis and explained why the ointments and creams that I was prescribed at Jefferson and BMD wouldn't help. He wrote me a quick prescription, scheduled me for a follow-up and I was on my way in less than 25 minutes which the majority of was spent on our conversation (not waiting like many other places I have been). As quick and painless as the appointment was, he was thorough and was sure to address any other questions that I had. Will definitely be going back! Thank you!
Outstanding interaction. Friendly staff. Dr. gave me all the time I needed. Listened. Was engaged. Very bright and kind!
I was a few minutes late and as a result his last appointment of the day, however my session was not cut short and he was as thorough as if I was the first appointment of the day.
We came to this Dr only because he is the only Dr who accepted our insurance.
Dr Parish was great. Very friendly, good sense of humor, saw me on time, and answered all of my questions clearly. In and out in no time at all.
I was already a little iffy about seeing this doctors because ive read so many unplessant reviewe & i have to admit those reviews were very accurate . He was not friendly at all , i was very uncomfortable especually when i had to lift up my shirt , never had to do that in a dematologist office before . Also i couldnt understand what he was saying . He barely described the medications to me . It wasnt a nice visit at all .
Dr. Parish was very quick and precise, looked over my skin and knew what was going on. He has a nice personality we cracked a few jokes. I will recommend him and most definitely go back.
Perfectly nice people, but some the questions were off-putting and old-fashioned. For example, the receptionist asked me if I'm a "Miss or Mrs" (why does that matter?). How about Ms? During my visit, Dr. Lawrence didnt ask me about my skin, and told me moisturizer is poisin. Then later in the converstion asked me if I live alone. How is that relevant to my skin?? I'll probably look for another dermatologist.
Dr. Parish spent quality time with me. He took his time to answer all my questions and describe my treatment and medications in great detail. He was also friendly. Highly recommended!
Dr. Parrish is extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have been a patient for years and will not trust anyone else.
Great doctor. Very calm. Doesnt make you feel sick. Great bedside manner. Very professional. Great sense of humor. Each appt the Dr. takes the time to inform you on the diagnosis and treatment. Answers all questions. Very patient.
It took quite a while to be seen. When I was finally seen, it was for less than 10 minutes. I have never been to a dermatologist before and for a first time patient, 10 minutes is not acceptable. The prescriptions didn't help with the issue. Also, I hate when places book multiple people for the same time slot. It makes me feel as though my time is less valuable than the doctor's time.
Quick and right to the point!
He was funny and blunt. Really appreciated his information and diagnosis
It's my 3rd visit here and the doc always seems to rush me out of the door. I'm not confident in the treatment course he prescribes either, though of course my opinion is of little credit, since I'm not a doc. My issue still persists for the second year and he refuses to do any tests or try alternate treatment methods. He just writes the same script for same ineffective medication and sends me away. I will be seeking alternate opinions moving forward. Will not return to this practice.
Terrible experience, should have trusted the warnings I read on ZocDoc. He was aggressive and dismissive, contradicted *everything* I said and did not listen to me at all. I was having cystic acne for the first time in my life, had foot fungus (he said it was irritation from my shoes, later confirmed as fungus), and he did not want to understand my situation at all. He wanted to simply apply his prepackaged solutions, copy and pasted from patient to patient, and keep my appointment as short as possible so he could cram in more co-pays. He was sexist ("wash [the glycolic toner] off immediately after applying because women cannot take the stinging like men experience with aftershave"), rude, arrogant. Save yourself the time and money. Avoid.
Wonderful Doctor, very informative I will definitely be referring my friends and family!
Dr Parish waited on me quick ..I like how fast and nice he was.
My experience with Dr. Parish was unsatisfactory. He was very dismissive of my concerns, and did not provide me with a thorough examination. I was upset when I left his office.
Saw him for Accutane which was slowly taken care of but he has horrible bedside manner and talks politics and doesn't listen to your concerns. Not open to discussing other therapies etc. Too old to be working.
very old school.knows his stuff
The doctor did not even take me in the examination room. He looked at me for 2 minutes and wrote a prescription. Waited over a half hour for my appointment.
It was pleasant, but i waited 45 minutes to see the doctor.
Front office staff were pretty rude. I was hardly acknowledged and had to ask if I should sign in. Dr. Parish himself was extremely kind and professional and I would recommend. It is a shame however when you have rude and unhappy people addressing you when you first walk in.
Dr. Parish is very sweet and quite funny. Although the wait time was longer than expected, once it was my turn to be seen, I was treated very well.
Dr parish and his secretary and staff are the best nice clean office and he cares about what is goin on with ur skin. I love this office can't wait to go back for my next visit.
"Bedside manner"... I wish there was any manner of delicacy in my interaction with Dr. Parish. I felt very uncomfortable during my visit and would not recommend this doctor to friends.
I was left in a room where no one knew I was for an hour and had to go get the doctor myself after waiting for an hour. When he finally saw me my visit was brief and rushed.
Very pleasant visit - we'll see what the results are . . . .
I have been a patient of Dr. Parrish for years, and I am never disappointed in him or his staff. Great doctor who is very willing to help you.
It was quick , friendly and efficient.
Very professional and pleasant visit. I arrived early and was seen right away. I was there for a consult, and he explained everything clearly and to the point. He was attentive and answered all my questions, -even mentioned something unrelated to my consult that I hadn't noticed before-! Thank you Dr. Parrish for a great experience :)
This is the first time that I have had a negative experience with Dr. Parish. He didn't remember writing my prescription for as many refills as he did and was a bit rude when I explained that I do still need the prescription he has been writing for me. He was very aloof and I left feeling like I don't want to go back
Wonderful, he explained clearly and calmed any fears.
Very professional and gave me the treatment I needed.
Dr. Parish was no nonsense and was swift to identify and provide a course of treatment for me. I appreciate that he treated our interaction swiftly and without pretense. Many medical professionals today try to become your friend or to create a bond beyond Dr. Patient. Not Dr. Parish, he is a seasoned professional who is there to help your skin get better and has little time for issues other than that. For me he was perfect.
As soon as I walked into the office, I knew that I would get a good experience just from the environment. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. I told her that I was there for a Zocdoc appointment and everything seemed to go well from there. She took my insurance card and ID and then I was well on my way. 5 minutes of waiting and then I was called into the private room. It took Dr. Parish 2 minutes to come in after and hear my concerns. He gave me a treatment plan and he was very through about why he chose the medications for me. He is very open and straightforward about the regime he decides to put you on. No other dermatologist that I have seen thus far really sat down for a good 10-20 minutes to discuss a plan for you. Dr. Parish is a great doctor and he really cares about addressing your concerns.
It is vey good dictor recommend it to anyone
Dr. Parish is amazing! Definitely one of the better derms I've seen in the city.
Polite, personal, and professional. Am very pleased.
Not happy, will not be returning, waited 20 minutes after signing in before anyone acknowledged us, I believe because the medical assistant is over worked, she was doing the best she could but obviously she could use some help. We waited 40-45 minutes total before being seen by the doctor. The doctor was condescending and kind of nasty, he spoke in medical jargon that we didn't understand, and when we asked a question we got a condescending answer, he spoke to my adult daughter as if she were a 5 year old. Definitely would not recommend this physician.
Treated me for weeks, issue got worse.
I have been seeing Dr Parrish for years and am very pleased with him.
Great help from the front desk. Even with my primary care physicians messing up the referral.
Went for an annual skin screening. I was moving somewhere where it's warm all the time and figured I'd stop by for a screening beforehand. Spent less than five minutes with me and then the appointment was over. Felt like a waste of time personally.
I've been to both doctors at this office and they're great! Friendly professional and knowledgeable
Dr. Parish seemed very knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and answered all of my questions The staff was adequate and I did not have to wait long to be seen. For me that is all I want or need from a physician.
He is great. Very thorough. Can't say enough good things about him
Medication he prescribed for me didn't work and made me sick. Recommended expensive products that were not covered under my insurance.
I only had to wait a few minutes, the lady at the front desk is very nice and polite.
The front desk is professional and friendly. Dr. Parrish has a great sense of humor.
Very professional. Alleviated all concerns I had in words I could understand. Explained everything I asked about. Quick check in and quick response from Dr. Parish.
Dr. Parish was very friendly and interested in my general issue. He advised me of several options and made sure he understood what I had tried or done previously.
Professional and kind, took care of my issue quickly!
I have been a patient of Dr Parrish for years. His knowledge and care is unmatched.
i was very pleased with the whole proceedure ,i found the dr to be very understanding , and i was surprised when i asked for sample meds and was given more than enough and he also had no problem with writing my script for more
Friendly, funny and full of facts. He knew exactly what the issue was and how to treat it in seconds. Great guy and even better doctor. Would recommend to any and everyone!
Friendly, knowledgeable, organized
This was my first visit and I will happily return when the need arises. Dr. Lawrence Parish was very knowledgeable and made the visit pleasant. I would highly recommend him.
Found Dr. Parish to be extremely knowledgeable and addressed all of my questions/concerns during the visit. Only issue was the hour wait time. I scheduled it in the morning as to not interfere with my work, and being forced to wait an hour after my appointment time I found very frustrating. While I understand scheduling is a challenge, it is always appreciated when long wait times are communicated ahead of time.
This was my second appointment and confirms my earlier review. All positive, highly recommend.
Barely spent any time with me! Would not recommend!
Not the most affable personality but clearly knows what he's talking about.
Won't be returning. Maybe it was an anomaly. Doctor and receptionsist were nice. Scheuled appointment to have wart removed and growth on side of nose screened for cancer. Secondarily asked whether brown spots could be treated. While using liquid nitrogen to remove growth on side of nose Dr. told me to open my eyes so as not to scrunch, said liquid nitrogen in eye would not be harmful but would just evaporate. (I kept my eyes closed) Dr. used liquid nitrogen on brown spots and wart on hands. Told me would crust, fall off in a week or, less commonly, blister. My hands were painfully blistered and oozing for over 10 days. There were so many blisters that I couldn't use bandaids because the sticky part would be on another blister. Not only painful, but interfered with my work. No instructions as to followup at home. One month later: Wart still there and now there's also a dime-sized callous-like thing around it. Brown spots - biggest keratosis still so red it's hard to know if it's gone, but clearly there is still some raised brown area there.
Very knowledgeable, and professional a pleasurable experience.
This office visit was probably the worst doctor's appointment I ever had. First, when I arrived they told me that my appointment had been cancelled. I showed them my confirmed ZocDoc appt on my account, after which they proceeded to tell me not to make appointments via ZocDoc because "ZocDoc appointments get cancelled all the time" (I've never heard anyone complain about ZocDoc whenever I booked through this website). Second, after waiting 65 minutes, I asked whether I could see another doctor on site; the lady then screamed at me in front of other patients because she said it was my fault that I showed up with a cancelled ZocDoc appointment. The doctor finally showed up after I waited 75 minutes, which was an unacceptable amount of time to keep a patient waiting. I will not be going back, and I do not suggest that ZocDoc partner with doctors that go out of their way to disparage ZocDoc patients.
amazing very calm and assuring doc
Dr. Parish was an excellent doctor. I was seen within 5 minutes of arriving and that rarely happens. He was very personable and knowledgeable and diagnosed me right away. I would definitely recommend him.
Quick, easy, personable! I was in-and-out in 20 minutes, staff was very friendly! Highly recommended, I will be returning for sure!
Clean, professional office. The reception staff was very courteous. I only waited for five minutes before seeing the doctor.Dr. Lawrence solved my problem in one visit within half an hour. He was efficient and professional.
Best experience for the doctor visit. 20 mins total from the minute I walked in. Great doctor!
I did not trust the information he gave me. While office staff is super friendly, Dr. Parish lacks even the bedside manner to say "hello" upon entering the room.
I have been seeing Dr. Parish for years. He really cares about his patients and He is extremely knowledgeable.
I will not go back, I waited almost two hours for an appointment that took 5 mins, where I was uncomfortable and didn't feel like I was listened to. I will not be back, and I do not recommend.
Great sense of humor, knowledgeable and efficient.
Was able to book the appointment easily. The Doctor was friendly, no-nonsense and helped me out quickly.
He was funny and very nice. Professional. The office was clean the receptionist was nice and friendly and the office seemed to run efficiently, one patient out, one in. But my appointment was for 3:30 and I didn't see the doctor till 4:45.
Dr. Parrish is very professional; I had a hard time hearing him and he is a straight up kind of doctor. I was in and out of the office within 20 minutes. I had more questions, but it appeared when he was done his procedures it was time for me to go. would have liked a little more explanation. I will be returning on the 16th of October.
I am not at all sure that the treatment did anything at all
I thought the doctor was great.
Dr Parish was very friendly and welcoming from the start. He was very thorough in the diagnosis of my visit and offered a few options while stating the side effects. The visit was very productive. I made booked an appointment for later that same day, and was in and out of his office with the problem solved in 20 min. Will definitely visit again.
He was amazing. He took the time to explain all the problems and made sure all my questions were answered prior to leaving. I will absolutely going back if I have any issues in the future.
Zocdoc never confirmed with office. So I had to re-fill out paperwork and be treated as a walk-in.
I guess the doctor knew what to look for and there did not seem to be any markings on me that would be a worry.
CON - I know how much of a miracle it will be for me to see my doctor right at the scheduled time. But I came in 15min earlier to my scheduled time and finished all paperwork; yet I still waited till 45min after my scheduled time. PRO - staff is highly professional. When I told them that I had to catch a meeting and might need to reschedule, the lady at the front desk apologized and told me she would try to let me see the doctor at least and quickly set me in the room. When Dr. Parish came in, the first thing he did was to apologize for keeping me wait and explained he had exceptionally more patients that morning. Dr. Parish was witty, knowledgeable and right on point for my questions. I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Parish (maybe at an earlier time).
He was friendly and gave me his honest opinion regarding my condition.
Efficient and effective!
he's is easy going, friendly, and answers questions/concerns. like him!
Dr. Parish was very personable. Being my first visit, he made me feel more comfortable by chatting about where I live and my work, rather than jump right into the exam. He takes time to answer all questions and makes sure you understand his instructions.
Easy to talk too. Explained things to me. Patient.
dr. Parris is a very professional Dr. He listened to my concerns and knew his work. He diagnosed me right away and gave me great pointers.
Great visit, great doctor, wholeheartedly recommend. Was seen right away. Dr. Parish immediately diagnosed my issue and treated it on the spot. Clearly he's been at this for a few years. :). I was in and out in 10 minutes. Very nice office staff. I have my new dermatologist.
He did not have the equipment needed in this office to treat me. I will need to schedule a later appointment in his other office. Right now I can try an over the counter medication which will likely not be effective. This appointment was a waste of time and would have been more beneficial had I gone to the other office.
He's a republican and lets you know it, bashing Obamacare during the appointment. I really didn't need to hear that but he seemed to need to vent at the moment. Other than that, it was a fine appointment? Can I recommend that doctors keep their political opinions to themselves. Please don't hate me because I have government-supported insurance.
Doctor was not receptive of my concerns. Stated to doctor my condition is chronic issue and have used many facial medications and oral medications since my teens without success . Stated to the doctor I need more aggressive therapy then just a facial wash.response to my statement from doctor he knows more about my condition even before I was born. Doctor showed no interest of my concerns . I've have been dealing with my condition for over 30 years I know just a facial wash will not control the problem. Will see what happens next visit.
I had to wait for 45 minutes, but although that, the visit with Lawrence Parish was excellent. I will continue to visit with him and recommend him.
I waited for over an hour and was saw for less then 10 minutes. I now have to get a second opinion. Less then pleased.
I came in with a skin condition on my scalp. He was to the straight to the point and prescribed what I needed to resolve the issue. He answered all my questions. Well worth my time.
Dr. Parish was extremely friendly, very informative and full of humor! It was a very pleasant experience.
Great experience. Professional, friendly & organized.
Very good doctor. The receptionist was awesome.
I did not see this doctor, but I made arrangements online for my mother to see him. She was very satisfied with Dr. Parish. She's a retired RN, and was impressed with how quickly she was seen, and with the treatment she received at his office, particularly as a new patient.
Pleasant, straightforward, and competent - exactly what I was looking for. Didn't have to schedule another appointment specifically for procedure. It was done right there and then, painlessly and quickly.
Nice receptionist, doctor got right to the point, no waiting for him in the room.
This is someone at the top of his field, with an efficient office.
The nurse/receptionist was very nice. The doctor seemed very experienced but I am not sure he addressed all of my concerns.
He was great and took his time to explain my condition in layman's terms.
Overall my experience was very good. My only compliant is that the office receptionist did not have any knowledge of my appointment, I'm not sure if that is the fault of "ZocDoc" or if the fault lies with the doctor's office. Despite not have my appointment on record the office/Dr. decided to see me. Dr. Lawrence Parish & staff were very pleasant. Dr. Parish even cracked a couple jokes. He listened to all my concerns with my adult acne, he explained why it was happening and what I needed to do to prevent/fix the issue. He gave me a couple of prescriptions and explained in full detail how everything was to be used. I am very pleased with my visit and will definitely recommend him to friends and family..
Excellent experience. Took time to answer any questions. Highly recommend!
He's very nice! And knew exactly what he was doing, in starting the medicine he have me today & going back in March, will write another review on how it helped.
Dr. Parish was very professional and thorough throughout my visit. He was very friendly and knowledgable, which made me feel at ease. I would recommend him to everyone :)
Friendly, professional and courteous!
Very knowldgeable proffessional.
Very unpleasant bedside manner - condescending and outright unprofessional. Would highly encourage others to consider reading the Yelp reviews before making an appointment here, as they closely mirror my experience. I won't be back.
Felt like I was being rushed and not given a very thorough examination. The wart he attempted to remove did not go away either. Left in 15 minutes with a handful of Rx and little understanding!
there were some things I really liked. I could make an appointment online and fill out my registration papers before I even arrived. The office seemed a little crowded when I got there but I was seen within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. All good. The doctor did not have me change into a gown, which probably saved some time, but made my disrobing to show him a problem area a little weird. All in all, though, I'd recommend.
I arrived at 3 for my 3:15 appointment. I was taken back at 3:10 and was out by 3:15. Dr. Parrish apologized for having to cancel my appointment from the previous week, was very encouraging about the progress with my condition and friendly.
My appointment with Dr. Parish was wonderful! He carefully listened to my concerns about my adult acne (and asked questions) before conducting an exam of my skin. He answered my questions thoroughly, and even gave me a mini lesson on acne formation before prescribing treatment. Overall, we spent at least 20 minutes speaking; the appointment was not at all rushed. I can't yet speak of my satisfaction with the prescribed treatment, but I definitely recommend Dr. Parish as a physician who clearly cares about his patients. He is approachable, patient, and funny. Also, his receptionist (sadly, I can't remember her name) is very sweet and helpful! Bonus: Dr. Parish recommended I have my prescriptions filled at the independent pharmacy near his office (Pickwick). Fantastic service...I won't be back to CVS!
The visit went well. Dr. Parish did make some strange analogies and comments, but he was professional and made me feel comfortable. He explained why he was giving me certain types of medication and how treatment would proceed in the future.
I was an hour early for my appt. but as soon as my scheduled time hit, I was automatically taken back to be seen by the doctor. I already recommended this office and my apt was today!
Took the time to go over questions I had and also explained what things were, mole ext..
Overall he was okay. But didn't like his behavior at all. He was rude for no reason.
Good doc very professional
Won't be seeing this doctor again. He's an old white dude, and acts like it. He talked down to me like I was a little girl and didn't know anything, even though I'd been to other dermatologists in the past.
Let me preface this by saying I "never" go out of my way to give a bad review. This is literally the first time I have ever actually filled out a feedback form without just having positive things to say. I made my appointment at 8:00, as I have work relatively early in the morning and didn't want to take the day off. I got to the office ahead of time at around 7:50 to make sure I could sign in and give them all of my details before my appointment time hit. I didn't have my original insurance card, and the receptionist was very nice in helping me find the additional info she needed. The office was clean and organized. So far so good. I take a seat and she tells me to wait to be called. I see the doctor come out and speak to the receptionist. I can IMMEDIATELY tell this is going to be a frustration situation for me. Dr. Parish is extremely awkward and seems to have difficulty even getting out one sentence. It was painfully obvious that he relied on his receptionist for the most simple of tasks and lacked the ability to grasp very basic concepts. Such as the phone system or the receptionist telling him the same things literally 5x+ in the hour I was there. Not to sound mean, but I honestly felt like the doctor was a stroke victim as opposed to a dermatologist before I even saw him. But as I hadn't seen him yet, I tossed away my doubts and continued to wait. I had been waiting for about 10 minutes after 8, when they call another person back. "That's weird", I thought. "I thought my apt was at 8". I figured they were just backed up and had no issue waiting longer. This happened two more times. I kept brushing it off until someone else came in and said "Hi, sorry I'm late, I had an appointment at 8" at around 8:45. She took his information, let him in before me, then assured me she hadn't forgot about me. It was very obvious that multiple people had ALL booked appointment for the same time. I was stuck waiting till about 9:10 when I actually saw the doctor. Upon speaking to him, my initial thoughts were immediately confirmed. Besides from looking like he was extremely confused, he offered some of the worst analogies I've ever heard in my entire life that had no connection to the issue I was talking to him about. While inspecting my rash, he literally spit in my face multiple times while talking. He was very quick to diagnose what was wrong with me and prescribed steroids. I was expecting the steroids, but not the 7 minute consultation without any actual advice. Fast forward two weeks, rash is still prevalent despite consistent use of the steroid. As this is the first derm related issue I had, didn't feel like finding another doctor and at this point I was just using him as a means to a perscription. I went back for my follow up to find a new receptionist, equally nice and organized, who also seemed as if she was Dr. Parishes caretaker as opposed to a receptionist. My appointment was at 8:00 again. Dr. Parish was 30 minutes late to the office, though I was seen shortly after he arrived, so my overall wait time was less. However, due to the number of people that were waiting, I can only imagine a number of them also had appointments at 8:00 just as I did. Dr. Parish didn't remember my situation at all. He started asking me what we discussed last time and what medication I was using. He began giving the exact same bad analogies he did in our last meeting. No new advice or information was provided, and he started mentioning a patch test which I knew had nothing to do with the problem I had. I scheduled the test regardless as I wanted to have a back up in case I couldn't find another derm. I found another Doctor, who immediately recognized my issue and my face is now clear as a whistle within a matter of days. Dr. Parish isn't a bad person, the office is clean, and the receptionists are great. However, I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. He clearly is not 100% with it.
Dr.Parrish was very knowledgeable and informative. He knew right away what was wrong with me with just my description of symptoms. He offered me coupons for my prescription and informed me it may be expensive.
They greeted me right away and saw me at my appointment time. Dr Parish is a great doc.
I was fine, Ireally liked it....
It was fine I really liked it, he was very professional
He's very nice, and saw me in a timely manner. I didn't have to wait long to get an appt
Very personably and friendly Dr. Wait time was excessive.
Dr. Parrish is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Everything about his practice is top notch, I highly recommend him.
The doctor seemed very im patient with children its like he hates kids or something kind of rude!!!!!
He was ok but seemed like he did not like children!!!
I went for a mole examination and did not enjoy my visit with Dr. Parish for a couple of reasons. First his exam was very fast and not thorough. I felt as though he glanced and did not even take time to look at all of them. Secondly, I was not asked to put on a hospital gown prior to the exam and undressing in front of him was uncomfortable. Felt unprofessional. Third, in pass exams doctors would use a florescent light to test certain moles - no light was used here. Fourth, I did not care for his analogies felt very disconnected to my questions. I will not go back and would not recommend anyone else to as well. I am surprised his rating was as high as it was.
I loved this guy! I came in very worried about a former doc's diagnosis, and wanted someone I could talk to about the realistic possibilities - he was courteous and used a number of metaphors to explain what he was talking about, which really helped me understand. Also, he alleviated my fears about the prior diagnosis and actually went on-line to see if he could find out more about my former docs. (who, incidentally appeared to have made the incorrect diagnosis). And I got to my appointment and wasn't handed paperwork to fill out, the assistant at the front desk actually took my information in person! Unnerving at first, then very nice and very quick. I was in the office for no more than 5 minutes before I was speaking with the doc. Highly recommend.
made my appointment for the same day
rushed me out and didnt let me speak- prescribed NOTHING and just charged me for advice.
Dr. Parish is an experienced professional who instilled confidence that he could help manage my skin condition. I have been to many dermatologists over the last 45+ years and I would rate Dr. Parish at the top. The wait in the office was less than 15 minutes which I liked since I was on lunch break from work. What's more I didn't have to wait 2 months for an appointment. ZocDoc exceeded my expectations. Thanks.
Dr. Parish is a good Doctor. I will continue to see him if I have any skin problems.
It was fine.
While I found the office staff nice and helpful, I was very disappointed with Dr. Parish's bedside manner. In my mind, treating each patient diligently and thoroughly is a fundamental responsibility of any doctor. Parish's superficial examination and disregard for my own concern was very disconcerting. I have a family history of melanoma and skin cancer and have been advised to receive annual check-ups. Last year I had a case of malignant melanoma. I conveyed all this to Parish and identified several hot spots I try to monitor myself. He gave them less than a cursory look and then provided a mini lecture on how I would be able to clearly see if any areas of my skin were pre-cancerous. When I asked him to examine one mole in particular he did not do so, and instead said "I see nothing concerning here." While Parish may well be right (I certainly hope he is), the disregard of my own diligence and his superficial examination were very disturbing. I feel compelled to find a second opinion, and will not be returning to this office.
Dr. Parish was very professional, which I appreciated, however he wasn't very conversational. He walked right in asked what my issue was looked at my skin and wrote me a prescription. There was no greeting just right to business. I personally didn't mind but someone else might. All in all I would say I had a good visit and I would recommend a friend!
I was really appreciative of the fact that I was seen right away, and managed to snag an appointment after my other dermatologist's secretary shooed me away with her rudeness. (Different story) However, he didn't spend a lot of time actually listening to my back story or the reasons why I came, he just took a few looks, wrote up $60+ prescriptions, and sent me on my way. The other visiting doctor just stared at me uncomfortably the entire time, it was creepy. There's no way I'd radically change medications and stuff myself with things he hardly even explained to me. He didn't bother to listen to my concerns at all. His secretary did more explaining than he did.
Timely, professional, Curteous
Dr. Parish seemed to be in a little in a rush because the office was busy, but once I started to explain why I was there he took his time with me. He made a couple of jokes which always makes a person feel better.
The reason I went to see dermatologist was hair loss. I was in the doctor's office for less than 5 minutes. No recommendations on how to maintain or protect falling hair. No advise nor even a slight steps for future treatments of the hair. Next time I rather go to a good hairdresser and have vitamin treatment than spent money on an advice i could google for free.
Dr. Parrish was extremely knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend him.
The best thing about this office - staff are very friendly and you do not have to wait, especially since I was on my lunch hour! Dr. Parrish is very thorough and to the point! A+
!st time patient - He was very nice, friendly. I felt very at ease as if I had known him for years. Very professional with a good sens of humor. Front end coordinator was very nice as well and efficient!
Wonderful doctor! Very pleasant and knowledgable.
very help full and nice
Great personality. Very knowledgeable.
Great! I'[m guessing on the bedside manner because it really didn't apply to this visit.
I have never met any doctor as generous & kind as Dr. Parish. My face is looking awesome - I had an acne issue for years & I finally look 'normal'..LOL. I feel so blessed to have found this doctor...I would recommend him to anyone! My friend just started with him & is already happy w/the results! And his secretary..well, I am so jealous of her always-so-neat desk!! I could never accomplish that w/mine at work! :- )
Very quick, in & out, visit - very helpful, would recommend to anyone.
Dr. Parish's receptionist was kind of rude. She barely acknowledged that we were there (she said hello to us when we signed in only because I said it first). After about 15 minutes (which was a fine amount of time to wait if she'd ackowledged that we were there. After the appt., though she was fine. Dr. Parish was a little awkward, but seemed to know what he was talking about. He didn't really want to hear much background for the reason we were there and seemed to rush us out quickly. If I could make the decision again on a dermatologist I wouldn't make this one.
