I would never go back. His bedside manner is seriously lacking -- after waiting for 45 minutes he came in, never introduced himself or refer to me by my name. I said that I was in because of a bald spot-- the first time this had ever occurred. He barely looked at it, told me I was there to make it get better sooner, and seemed to not care when I said that I was there to see why this was happening and was worried it would spread. He said "if you came in with acne, would you worry it would spread. Oh. Well, that's a bad example". He prescribed some drops and that was that.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Parish. After walking several blocks in the strong sun and heat to get to my appointment, I pulled out my water bottle to hydrate myself in the waiting room. However, the receptionist immediately snappedat me because they don't allow drinking anything (including water) in the waiting room, which I think is very strange. During my appointment I felt very uncomfortable. Instead of being offered a gown, I was asked to remove my clothes in front of Dr. Parish and stand in front of him for the exam. I felt very exposed and did not feel that this was appropriate. I will not be returning to this office.

I was super anxious going to see Dr Parish. I wanted to talk to him about going on accutane for my acne, which can be quite a difficult and long process but Dr Parish listened to everything I had to sayand was extremely kind and knowledgeable and immediately agreed to start treatment! I'm so happy and grateful I chose him I walked out of the office feeling excited and comfortable with the treatment ahead. Also the receptionist is the bomb she's so funny and helpful.

Both times that I visted Dr. Parish, he was over 45 minutes late to the office resulting in wait times exceeding an hour for myself and multiple other patients waiting. The last time I was at the office, my appointment wasscheduled for 4pm and I was not seen until 5:15pm. Dr. Parish is brash and comes off as very rude. He was not willing to listen to my opinion of the effectiveness of the treatment plan. He cut me off multiple times while I was speaking and brushed aside concerns I had over scars left by the liquid nitrogen tank he used to 'burn off' skin tags under my armpits. He sprayed in areas that I did not request to have sprayed where there were no visible tags, resulting in blotchy red scars that have not gone away nearly two months later. I left my second appointment feeling incredibly disrespected as a patient and would not recommend Dr. Parish under any circumstance.

I asked about rash on my face that I had for about 10 years and Dr. Parish told me to buy a Mederma toner. Mind you it burns my skin and dries it out. He even told me that people shouldn't use moisturizer. :/

Don't let bad reviews deter you from seeing Dr. Parish. He knows what he is talking about and has helped me when COUNTLESS other doctors have struggled. He is on the quiet side, dry sense of humor, but he is veryempathetic and clear when explaining conditions. I would recommend him to anyone!

My overall experience at the office was time efficient, direct and successful. Found Dr. Parish on ZocDoc one day and had an appointment the next. The staff was polite and professional and I would not hesitate to return should I be in need of his services in the future.

I rushed to Parish on my lunch break (jogging from University City) as a first time patient for a rash that I have seen several doctors for at Jefferson and Bryn Mawr Dermatology that could not pinpoint the cause or thebest treatment. I filled out a few HIPPA forms and disclosures and afterwards was seen RIGHT away. After examining the area and discussing my lifestyle, job/pets/ etc for only a few minutes he was sure he had the proper diagnosis and explained why the ointments and creams that I was prescribed at Jefferson and BMD wouldn't help. He wrote me a quick prescription, scheduled me for a follow-up and I was on my way in less than 25 minutes which the majority of was spent on our conversation (not waiting like many other places I have been). As quick and painless as the appointment was, he was thorough and was sure to address any other questions that I had. Will definitely be going back! Thank you!

Perfectly nice people, but some the questions were off-putting and old-fashioned. For example, the receptionist asked me if I'm a "Miss or Mrs" (why does that matter?). How about Ms? During my visit, Dr. Lawrence didnt ask me about my skin, and told me moisturizer is poisin. Then later in the converstion asked me if I live alone. How is that relevant to my skin?? I'll probably look for another dermatologist.

It took quite a while to be seen. When I was finally seen, it was for less than 10 minutes. I have never been to a dermatologist before and for a first time patient, 10 minutes is not acceptable. The prescriptionsdidn't help with the issue. Also, I hate when places book multiple people for the same time slot. It makes me feel as though my time is less valuable than the doctor's time.

It's my 3rd visit here and the doc always seems to rush me out of the door. I'm not confident in the treatment course he prescribes either, though of course my opinion is of little credit, since I'm not a doc.My issue still persists for the second year and he refuses to do any tests or try alternate treatment methods. He just writes the same script for same ineffective medication and sends me away. I will be seeking alternate opinions moving forward. Will not return to this practice.

Terrible experience, should have trusted the warnings I read on ZocDoc. He was aggressive and dismissive, contradicted *everything* I said and did not listen to me at all. I was having cystic acne for the first time in my life, hadfoot fungus (he said it was irritation from my shoes, later confirmed as fungus), and he did not want to understand my situation at all. He wanted to simply apply his prepackaged solutions, copy and pasted from patient to patient, and keep my appointment as short as possible so he could cram in more co-pays. He was sexist ("wash [the glycolic toner] off immediately after applying because women cannot take the stinging like men experience with aftershave"), rude, arrogant. Save yourself the time and money. Avoid.

Dr. Parish was no nonsense and was swift to identify and provide a course of treatment for me. I appreciate that he treated our interaction swiftly and without pretense. Many medical professionals today try to become your friend or to createa bond beyond Dr. Patient. Not Dr. Parish, he is a seasoned professional who is there to help your skin get better and has little time for issues other than that. For me he was perfect.

As soon as I walked into the office, I knew that I would get a good experience just from the environment. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. I told her that I was there for a Zocdoc appointment and everythingseemed to go well from there. She took my insurance card and ID and then I was well on my way. 5 minutes of waiting and then I was called into the private room. It took Dr. Parish 2 minutes to come in after and hear my concerns. He gave me a treatment plan and he was very through about why he chose the medications for me. He is very open and straightforward about the regime he decides to put you on. No other dermatologist that I have seen thus far really sat down for a good 10-20 minutes to discuss a plan for you. Dr. Parish is a great doctor and he really cares about addressing your concerns.
