She is so attentive and explains everything thoroughly. She answered all my questions and clearly explained the steps we would take to get me feeling better. I appreciate her even more because I got stuck in traffic and was late but she saw me anyway which was a huge relief!

Dr. Martyak began her medical career at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she graduated cum laude in 2002. She then completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at UCLA. During her residency, she developed a program to help residents become better teachers. She continued at UCLA for fellowship in Digestive Diseases and Hepatology where she excelled in both her clinical and research interests. She completed two research projects during her three years, which resulted in their publication. Being dedicated to education, she continues to devote much of her spare time to teaching medical students and residents at various hospitals in the Los Angeles area.
Community service has long been Dr. Martyak's passion. She started at a young age volunteering her time to various community organizations. While at Georgetown Medical School, she started a committee to organize medical students to participate in community activities. During that time, she mentored teenage girls at the Boys and Girls Club and also helped to open a shelter for homeless women and children in Washington, DC. She continued to serve her community during her medical training by working at the Venice Family Clinic. Dr. Martyak continues this passion by offering her services to patients of the Venice Family Clinic without charge.

It was my first consultation with Dr. Martyak, and I cannot be more satisfied. The first impression – high professionalism. Doctor makes you feel very comfortable, listening and talking to you. You leave the office with a persuasion that you are in good hands!

She's a terrific professional: she listens, really, and is, of course, very knowledgeable, communicates directly and well. summarizes what she advises, and makes sure you understand everything, and sees to the follow-thru.

One of the kindest, most compassionate, down to earth doctors I've ever met. If it is possible to feel good about a total stranger sticking her fingers in private places on first meeting, she manages it ;-). Could not recommend highly enough.

I had a difficult condition, dr Martak gave me lots of treatment options, and even gave me dietary tips. Check in was easy, only waited 5 mins or so before I was brought back. Everyone was very professional.

I think everything about this office was amazing. The staff were friendly, and when I was asked to wait, because the doctor was running 5 minutes behind, the apologized profusely. It was only 5 minutes! So polite. Then Dr. Martyak took me to an office instead of a cold exam room to discuss my issues. It was a discussion where she did a lot of listening. She took her time and explained everything. She also was open o me asking questions. I would very much recommend her to anyone!

Very sweet and knowledable, took lots of time with me. The waiting room was clean and relaxing, lots of magazines, the staff was super efficient and polite. Will be back in 3 month for follow up.
