The wait was too long! I understand that sometimes schedules get behind, but no one said anything to me I just waited. After an hour I asked how much longer i would have to wait. I was told that I was going to be taken back now. Once I was in the patience room the receptionist apologized but I was tired and just wanted to be seen by the doctor and to leave. The receptionist left and i sat for 20 more minutes! I went to the front desk and said that i wanted my co pay back and I wanted to leave. The other lady that was behind the counter went to inform the doctor that i was leaving and then the doctor became available. The doctor is super nice and listened to what my problem was and made good observations and recommendations. I think if they know that the doctor is running behind that its the receptionist job to inform the patient. But to leave me sitting in the lobby for an hour and 20 minutes is unexcusable.
He was calm, thorough, and asked and answered questions. The visit was not perfunctory, he wasn't trying to rush me in and out.
Mr. Brown and his team has created a welcoming environment. He is knowledgeable and definitely has made bettering my health his main priority.
I enjoyed the staff and the overall professionalism.
Dr. Brown and his stagf were very courteous and supportive as well. I was very pleased!
Dr. Brown is very personable and was already familiar with the reasons for the appointment. Thorough and pragmatic, his explanations were clear and he made extra sure that I understood. The front office staff was all that you'd want. Pleasant, clear and made sure everything was taken care of. It was also great that I could get in on relatively short notice.
The entire office was very professional
Dr. Brown was warm and professional. As a first time patient, he made me feel at ease right away. Most importantly, he spent time asking me questions, making me feel like my problem was important to him. A+
Wait time a little over an hour. Was afraid I'd get the hard sell for body sculpting based on the looping advert on the screen in the waiting room, but there was no mention of it. Dr. Brown was warm, personable and engaging. He seemed quite knowledgeable. If it weren't for the wait time I'd heartily recommend.
Nice staff, wait was about 30-45 mins which was good for the amount of patients that were there. I was comfortable with Dr. Brown. he is experienced in his field and was thorough/detailed with his examinations. Great doctor
Dr. Brown was very professional and very thorough. He was able to provide both practical advice on treatment as well as prescription.
I am very pleased after meeting with Dr. Brown, I highly recommend him.
I've been seeing Leon Brown for several years. There are three things I appreciate about him. (1) He is very direct and is willing to take the time to educate me and answer my questions. And, he's very easy to talk with. (2) He pushes me to take responsibility for my health, instead of just prescribing and letting it go at that. (3) He works with me to help make sure my meds are covered by insurance. I've also found it is far easier to get in to see him than for most dermatologists, some of whom have a months-long waiting list.
I've been to Dr. Brown before and he is always the same, very professional and knowledgeable.
Dr. Brown was very personable and explained things in a way that I could understand.
The office looks dingy and unkept, the staff lacks attentiveness and customer service skills, especially the Hispanic receptionist. I was still asked to fill out paperwork, even after doing it online. The wait was entirely too long! I waited an hour to see the doctor. The doctor all in all was n it nice, however he did come off a bit sarcastic and arrogant.
It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Brown! His staff was very helpful and pleasant.
Dr. Brown was knowledgeable, friendly, and he listened to/addressed all of my concerns. This was the best experience I've had visiting a dermatologist.
He was very understanding/accommodating because I was in a hurry due to the pending snowstorm and I wanted to walk my dog. He did his best to assess and treat me and I appreciate that.
Dr. Brown is a very excellent knowledgable dermetalogies.
doctor was ok, the staff was terrible. I could never seem to get anyone on the phone to answer my questions
I would describe my appointment with Dr. Brown as transactional. He provided a screening, answered my specific questions, and sent me on my way with a prescription to treat my needs. I wouldn't say he had great bedside manner (but not bad either), but for this type of appointment, I didn't really care about bedside manner. I did have to wait 45 minutes, but I've sort of grown to expect that will all doctors. The only aspect of the appointment that I'd rate negatively was the fact that there was another male doctor in the room. I assume he was some type of resident but he was never introduced and Dr. Brown didn't explain why he was there. He just sort of stood in the background. This person looked uncomfortable in the room... which made me slightly uncomfortable. If I were female, I'm pretty sure that situation would have made me extremely uncomfortable.
Very personable and asks good questions I'm optimistic about the course of care he recommended.
Dr. Leon Brown is so thorough, unlike many many other doctors who just try to get patients out the door as soon as they can. I really wish I could have a PCP that treated me the way Dr Brown did!
He's from the Doctor Knows Best line of thinking. He will answer questions as though you have a 2nd grade intellect. He would not tell me the ingredients in a compounded ointment he called in. He did not contact my primary care even though she wanted him to and passed on her personal contact info.
It was okay!
Dr. Brown is an excellent Physician. His office staff are exceptional.
Warm greeting melted any worries. Quick assessment, quick plan of action. Office staff was friendly and assisted me with more than the paperwork, as I had a little one with me. Very confident in and comfortable with Dr. Brown.
Outstanding, thorough and personal.
Leon is excellent! It was a long wait, but I would go here again, just at an earlier time.
I had to wait too long to be seen
It was fine. Dr. Brown took time with me and sought to do what he could to address my issues. He provided a number of options, not just stopping with one. He even added another option as I was leaving the office ! A helpful spirit!
Love this Dermatologist! He takes his time and he evaluates you. Gives you good sound advice about skin care. Women of color I would highly recommend him. He actually does a thorough assessment of your skin. Front desk staff are friendly. Office is clean.
Dr Brown was very knowledgeable about my diagnosis. He answered my questions and I felt as though he had my best interest at heart.
He was VERY informative and LISTENED and DOCUMENTED all my concerns. He gave PRINTED instructions to follow for home and also general information for my condition and over all healthcare!
I've been seeing the doctor for skin issues for 9 years off and on. He's very professional pleasant and very good at what he does.
He was thorough. And was truly trying to figure out what variables may be causing my skin issues.
My first impressions of Dr. Brown were very good. He was helpful and spent a lot of time with me one on one answering questions and discussing my treatment. The wait was really long but he makes up for it in patient care! If you don't have a lot of time to spend then you may need to find a day with a clear schedule to go but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and am excited to see if his recommended treatment plan works for me.
dr Brown was very imformative and knowledgeable
Dr. Brown is the best!
Very professional. Thank you.
My visit with Dr. Brown was very good. This visit was a follow-up regarding a surgical procedure Dr. Brown had performed on my back. The diagnosis was excellent, I had no complications and I'm healing just fine. Dr. Brown was very thorough and I'm please with the results. What I appreciate mostly about Dr. Brown is that he takes his time with you. He addresses all your concerns and questions, as well as explains everything in terms you can clearly understand. And the staff is friendly and very accommodating.
It's been a while since we've seen Dr. Brown. His office has attempted to be more automated but it seems as though the automation has slowed the productivity of he and his staff. They spent more time typing in notes than they did addressing the health concern. The technology that they use seem to be low budget. When he prescribed the medication, there was no explanation as to what the medication was and how it was going to work to correct the problem. It was just "I'm going to give you a cream. Use it every other day." The wait time was unacceptable. We were on time for our appointment but we waited an 1-1/2 to be seen. I'm of the practice that my time is just as valuable as the doctor's and I waiting that long is not good business. To top it off, we paid for parking...by the hour.
Was just the first visit, but Dr. Brown seems to know his stuff! He's personable demeanor is a plus. He made me feel comfortable.
The doctor is very good and the front desk staff is good.
Very good physician
The wait time is entirely too long. Dr. Brown probably needs to get another Dermatologist to assist him. He is good but he needs help!!!
Very attentive and kind. If he were a primary physician, I'd choose him as mine.
His presence is engaging making him easy to talk to, he listens, answers your questions and helps you understand. This was my first visit, I had some anxiety, it went away during my discussion with him and ended great. I would recommend him with no reservations.
The parking situation was horrible; not enough parking is available, but the appointment with the doctor went well.
very good and very thorough!
Very thorough exam. Uncovered other potential issue to be addressed
On my last visit, it was a 2-hour wait. That's a deal killer.
He was very helpful and kind.
Dr. Brown is great! I've been a patient for years and I love that he takes his time with his patients to address each concern without rushing to get to the next. I have sensitive skin and many food allergies that causes breakouts, but since I've been with Dr. Brown, I have had great results with my skin. I definitely recommend going to follow up appts as well because skin changes overtime and in my case, that meant switching a few meds to help maintain the results I was looking for.
Dr. Brown is a wonderful doctor and individual. His previous patient took a lot of time, so I had to wait.
Dr. Brown is very detailed. Although data entry takes a very long time for the first visit , a return visit should be shorter.
Dr. Brown , was very professorial and thorough. he has a great bedside manner and cares about your issues.
I was impressed. Doctor is knowledgeable and kind.
After waiting over an hour, office never called in prescription that I came for in the place!
He is excellent! Just awesome and very friendly!
Dr. Brown was very pleasant and professional. I would recommend him to everyone.
I thought the visit went well and the doctor was very knowledgeable. I believe his diagnosis of my issue was correct.
My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Brown for years. He is caring, professional and has helped us through some pesky problems. I came to Dr. Brown when I was waiting weeks to get into a dermatologist and resorted to care from primary care docs who didn't understand the problem. With Dr. Brown, I always get an appointment within a couple of days (usually same day if I want it). It's true you have to wait while at the office so I am just sure to bring work or reading material with me.
I wish he could be a primary care physician.
The receptionists in this office are not professional what so ever! The wait time is ridiculous!
Appointment went well and was thorough.
It was great once I got to see him. His office is very busy. His staff is efficient and polite. Other dermatologists have a waiting list two months long for an initial appointment. So, it was worth the waiting room time.
Aside from the hour plus wait everything else was fine. The office staff was helpful and professional. The doctor was thorough, professional, listened to me and addressed all of my issues.
Everyone was very professional EXCEPT the wait time. It was way too long!!
Certainly nice and personable physician. Wait time seems to be a problem as I'm learning with my follow-up appointment. Removals are only done on specific days so schedule carefully or you'll have to come back.
He really listened to all of my concerns and took the time to address all of them. His office even offered me a coupon for one of the medications he prescribed. His office were able to recommend a pharmacy to make a compound that the local pharmacies wouldn't mix. It worked out better for my pockets.
The door was locked when I got there 5 minutes before my appointment and was not opened until 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was not seen by the doctor until around 50 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for. I was surprised that even a simple procedure such as a wart removal would require a return visit - not very easy to do given that I had already taken about 3.5 hours out of my work day for what, in past experiences, had been a quick and simple procedure.
The whole staff was very cordial
Extremely pleased with the time and effort Dr. Brown took with examining and explaining the issues.
He was very thorough and attentive. I trusted his opinion as a dermatologist and recommend him.
The staff was great and Dr. Brown took his time and asked a lot of questions. Great experience!
Physician was knowledgeable and personable. He asked questions and listened to my concerns. He physically assessed me and prescribed a regime that was doable and requested an assessment of how I am doing two weeks after starting his regime. Impressive first visit. Staff was friendly and nice. They were very welcoming and patient with the clients asking questions. Very nice experience. Will recommend to others.
Great experience very professional and Helped me right away
I love this doctor. Very personable. Took his time. Answered all my questions . Exceeded my expectations. The wait was long but now I understand because he takes his time with you . So don't become upset if you are waiting pass your appointment time
Always a pleasure.
Very happy they saw me for my appointment since I called to reschedule from morning to afternoon and was still late . I came from southern Md and pass many dermatologist office but my eczema has gotten out of control and I wanted to go to the best.My mom sent me back to Dr brown office which I had visit a few years ago.
Poorly run office with incompetent employees. The glacial pace that the staff moves at is extremely frustrating.
His office is completely disorganized and had not integrated with ZocDoc. I had to reschedule over the phone because they did not have the appointment time booked online. They also didn't have any of the forms I filled out online. Dr Brown may have been having a bad day; he was abrasive and scheduled me for surgery without discussing potential causes of my condition or describing the surgical procedure. Ironically, he did speculate about other conditions I may have just by looking at me casually without any examination. I felt like a lab animal.
