Board-certified and qualified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Mr. Hans Fomum works for his own practice based at 7725 Belle Point Drive in Greenbelt, MD. He shows a keen interest in treating patients of all ages with innumerable health conditions. He utilizes his acute and geriatric care experiences as a hospitalist and as a sole provider of other inpatient /outpatients’ settings to care for his patients. Mr. Hans received his master’s in nursing from the renowned Walden University. He has more than 17 years of medical experience in the field of nursing. He is a multilingual communicator with the ability to engage his patients in English, Creole, French, and some Spanish. Prior to founding Astera Medical Clinic LLC, Hans’ success with overseeing patient admissions, discharge processes ensuring all steps had been completed, assisting as needed to ensure efficiency and timely completion was demonstrated during his tenure as a nurse manager at the Wilson Healthcare Center (Asbury Methodist Village Rehabilitation Center). His role in delegating and adjusting assignments to provide the best patient outcome, resolving staffing concerns, and overseeing the healthcare staff, alongside providing nursing support and care for the patient/residents helped him gain the experience that makes him the best choice to care for yourself and your family.
Furthermore, Hans’ background in training, mentoring, and overseeing new staff in all tasks, encompassing both patient-facing care as well as unit-specific culture guarantees a high quality of care provided by our staff at Astera medical leveraging his expertise in staff management, patient communication, and general clinical care to ensure outstanding patient experiences.
Hans is certified in BLS, IV Therapy, and Blood Draw. He currently holds a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license with prescription privileges and is Licensed as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Maryland.
