He was very short with me. Repeatedly interrupted me while explaining my symptoms, asked me to explain in more detail when I was already being very descriptive - other doctors were able to understand what I told them with no difficulty. I had a wonderful experience at the Kotkin office. The front desk was polite with almost no wait time. I first met Dr. Kotkin's assistant who was kind and professional, and showed empathy towards my reason of visit. Upon speaking with Dr Kotkin, he was very professional and took the time to understand and answer my questions and concerns. He did not try to rush me out of the office, which has happened to me with other professionals in the past. He gave me multiple alternatives and suggested other routes rather than jumping to surgery, which was pushed upon me in the past. I highly recommend anyone who needs professional urology care to seek Dr. Kotkin. I look forward to my next visit.

The front desk is very helpful and the wait time is not long. The doctor was very rude. I was describing my symptoms and my treatments from previous doctors, and he made very inappropriate comments about my personal life. He was so disrespectful that I asked him to change his tone, at which point he apologized. I am very disappointed by how unprofessional he was. At the end he told me that my disease makes people like me very emotional.

He spoke to me as if I was a child. Horrible person. Just because you went to Med school doesnt mean you can treat people like idiots. I know my body more than you so go get a reality check and realize how ignorant you really are.

I'm really not an online reviewer but for this I think I need to. I saw Dr. Kotkin late in the day so I don't know if it was just bad timing but I could not have been more dissatisfied. The office was very dated, and I didn't feel as if he took my symptoms seriously. It felt as though he brushed off my concerns because he didn't believe the pains i was telling him about. He also prescribed a medication that interferes negatively with another I take after telling him about the medications I'm on. I asked specifically about the interactions, and while he told me no, my pharmacist advised me of the negative effects. He had great reviews but my experience could not have been more different; I'm not returning.

Extremely rude--cell phone notification went off during my appointment and he interrupted me to go make a phone call. Didn't listen to me and was very demeaning as if I were dumb. The facility also needed updating--the walls were so paper thin that I could not only hear the mentioned phone call but also the conversations with the patient in the room adjacent to mine.

Hello,
Dr. Kotkin was rude and unprofessional. His receptionist reflected his personality. The office is dirty and in need of some paint, deep cleaning, organization and new furniture. I was quite disappointed. I would strongly recommend against visiting Dr. Kotkin if a patient has any other options.

My time spent with Dr. Kaitlin was okay, however the facilities were outdated and they do not maintain electronic health records. When I filled out my initial paperwork I noticed that they used "recycled" paper. On the back, was identifying information (name, DOB) as well as the medical history and visit information for another patient. I will be reporting this to HIPAA as this is a major violation and breach of confidentiality. I told the receptionist and she simply brushed it off. Not okay!

Dr. Kotkin is a thorough physician who doesn't rush to fixing problems with quick easy solutions but rather offers alternatives to precisely pinpoint the issue and treat that and only that, without performing unnecessary surgeries.
His staff is very warm and welcoming. It's an assuming small office but the quality of service reflects attention to detail I find hard to obtain in factory-like medical offices.
