Dr. Leora Cavazos Collins, is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She had aspirations to become a doctor since high school, where she graduated at top of her class. In her residency program, she took on leadership roles and additional studies in high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive surgery.
Leora Cavazos Collins, MD is a passionate supporter of women’s health. She believes in shared decision making and provides comprehensive gynecologic and obstetric care for women of all ages; using advanced training in obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She performs in office procedures such as hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, endometrial ablation and LEEP. She has experience treating high risk pregnancy, including gestational and pre-existing diabetes, high blood pressure, gestational hypertension, and pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth restriction and history of pre-term labor.
She is bilingual, in both Spanish and English. In her free moments, Dr. Cavazos Collins enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and gardening.

I unfortunately feel obligated to warn people about the billing practices of this office. I came in for a new gynecological visit and the cost of the appointment that was billed to insurance was over 5x what I have typically paid at other OBGYN offices in the past. Unfortunately, my insurance only covered 1/5 of the cost so I was left with a very large bill for a simple gynecological "problem" exam (as they categorized it for billing purposes). I feel like others should know so that you can be clear with cost expectations up front and not be surprised with a bill that they can no longer "adjust" since it will have already been sent to insurance.

Dr. Collins was very nice and helpful. I was waiting for about an hour and a half and other patients were seen before I was. The front office staff made me feel incompetent because I’m young.

I went here as a pregnant new mom and I know the OB has to deal with scared new moms day in and day out and that’s gotta be emotionally taxing, but I wasn’t treated with respect and my questions were laughed at. As nice as the facilities were, I won’t be returning. Again, I know there must be an emotional fatigue or distance that comes naturally with her job, but that desensitization does not extend to your patients, especially first time moms. Do better.
