Dr. Johnstone attended Drew University, in New Jersey, where she graduated magna cum laude; she attended medical school at the University of Liege, Belgium and graduated in 1980 with distinctions. Dr. Johnstone completed her obstetrics/gynecology residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix. She was chief resident from 1983-1984. She has been in private practice since 1984, and was American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology certified in 1987. Special medical interests include adolescent medicine, care of the elderly, infertility, and high-risk obstetrics including diabetes, medical problems, and multiple gestations. She is also trained in lasers, and laparoscopy.
Dr. Johnstone's professional organizations include: Arizona Medical Association, Maricopa County Medical Society, ACOG, and Phoenix OB/GYN Society. She is married, has two children, and is fluent in French. Her personal interests include karate (she is a 1st degree black belt!), sailing and traveling.
