“So happy I was able to be seen through video on same day I booked the appointment. The whole experience was easy. To make things better the drs office was nice when I contacted to make sure I didn’t miss the appointment. And they even let me kno when he was running a lil behind. The dr was so nice and easy to talk to. He got straight to the point in and out and I got the prescription I needed I will for sure go back if I need to be seen immediately instead of going to urgent care. This app is awesome. ”

About Luis Gutierrez
Since 2015, PA Carlos Gutierrez has been practicing family medicine, serving a predominantly Spanish-speaking, minoritized community in west Phoenix, Arizona. He has also focused on caring for a large LGBTQ+ population. Carlos previously worked at Mayo Clinic, specializing in PreOperative Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science at New Mexico State University, a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Midwestern University-Glendale, and a Doctor of Education in Health Professions at A.T. Still University. In 2023, Carlos founded InclusiCare Medical, a primary care center where employees, patients, and community members feel healthy and appreciated.
Carlos is an associate professor in the Department of PA Studies at the University of Pittsburgh and serves as its inaugural Vice Chair for Student Success. In this role, he supports learners across all programs and directs faculty development activities related to student success and wellness. He is deeply committed to promoting student achievement and well-being. His academic specializations include adult learning, instructional techniques, curriculum design and evaluation, and qualitative research. His research interests focus on postgraduate PA education and the inclusive professional development of physician assistant educators.
Gutiérrez began as adjunct faculty in the Physician Assistant Studies Hybrid Program in 2021 and also serves as adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Education in Health Professions program at A.T. Still University. Currently, he is President-Elect of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and is passionate about promoting diversity within the PA profession.
