Dr. Weil welcomes patients to her state-of-the-art Weil Eye Care Medical Center in San Carlos, CA. Dr. Weil has been in private practice since 1995 and opened her own office in 2003. She carefully listens to each of her patients' concerns and with her experienced medical background is able to offer patients the appropriate treatment for their specific eye care needs.
Ophthalmology is not an optometry practice, but a medical (Eye MD) practice where more extensive evaluation can be performed. Dr Weil’s practice meets the eye care needs of children and adults including routine eye exams, glasses prescriptions, contact lens fittings, diagnosis and management of eye diseases, eye surgery and cosmetic procedures such as BOTOX® injections and dermal fillers.
Dr. Weil is a board certified ophthalmologist. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Weil completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, which continues to be ranked in the top 6 ophthalmology residencies in the U.S.
Dr. Weil is an active staff member of Sequoia Hospital, Redwood City, CA. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Weil is a member of the San Mateo County Medical Association. In addition, she is a member of Pacific Women Health Professionals and the Peninsula Eye Society. She is also a PTA member in the San Carlos schools where she actively volunteers and donates financial support.
