The Weinstein Refractive Center utilizes cutting edge technology to provide the best eye care available. Dr. Weinstein has been performing the most advanced cataract and vision correction surgery since he opened his practice in 1982.
In 1994 Dr. Weinstein was the first ophthalmologist on Long Island to perform LASIK and to own an excimer laser. All LASIK procedures are done at The Weinstein Refractive Center.

I have to say, first time I’ve researched a Dr. online and actual attended a scheduled appointment w/one. He was to the point, comforting and thorough. I give his staff kudos as well, very knowledgeable and efficient, overall a terrific experience. I recommend him for anyone looking for an eye doctor.

Dr Weinstein’s office is always great the Dr is very nice and the ladies at the desk are very nice and pleasant i rarely see that most of the doctors I visit their front desk are always moody and give attitude like they don’t want to be there. It was fine...the wait was about 30 min. Why people have to wait more than 10 min when they have an appt is so frustrating. The staff was very friendly. The doctor was OK- saw me for all of 5 min. I probably will not go back.

I was able to get an appointment same day. Dr. Weinstein has great bedside manner and staff is nice.
Only draw back to this practice is they do not accept my Healthcare Flexible Spending debit card or any debit or credit cards for that matter, check or cash ONLY which is inconvenient.

Excellent experience! Went because I suspected I might have a small chalazion in the upper eyelid. Dr. Weinstein confirmed my suspicion – but said that because it's so small we should just wait and watch. I truly appreciate a Doctor that doesn't "overreact" and push unneeded procedures or subscribe unneeded medication. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting an eye exam, experiencing a problem (chalazion, stye, infection, dry eyes, foreign object), or a person that needs LASIK (my understanding is that he was the first to offer LASIK on Long Island). He's very friendly, very personable, and seems very knowledgeable.
