Dr. Katayeva was incredibly patient and took her time to really find the best new prescription with me. Not only was she patient and always lent an ear, but she also gave me a couple different lenses to test out (higher stigmatism vs stronger degree) before coming back for a follow-up (no extra fee).
In terms of how friendly and welcoming the staff were, they were all very helpful and kind. Robin runs the eye-ware portion of the store and he took his time to find and explain the optimal usage of my benefits for contacts and glasses.
Overall, I'm very happy to have come to see Dr. Katayeva and I sure hope you do as well :)

Dr. Liaanora Katayeva is an optometrist well trained to provide care to diverse population of New York. She completed her bachelor's degree at the City University of New York Hunter College in Psychology and Biology, and then pursued her Doctorate from State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Katayeva completed her training with emphasis on ocular disease and contact lenses. While at school, she also volunteered her time to provide eyecare to the under-served local community as well as community of Grenada as a member of VOSH organization. Dr. Katayeva keeps up with up to date information through seminars including Optometry's Meeting and Academy of Optometry annual conferences, as well as lectures from The Optometric Society of New York. She is an active member of American Optometric Association and New York State Optometric Association.Dr. Katayeva is committed to catering to the individualized needs of her patients while emphasizing on quality of care. Her goal is to provide her patients with the proper tools they need to improve and maintain their overall health. Dr. Katayeva provides exams in English and Russian.

I would never ever return here. The nurse who checked me in didn’t communicate and just started putting machines in my face. The doctor never looked IN my eye and barely checked me out. 24 hours later I’m in urgent care for the exact same issue. I would never ever return to this place again in my life. Avoid at all costs

Beautiful, clean, and modern office right on the main avenue. Plenty to eat and shop around there before or after your visit. But most importantly, a wonderful office full of wonderful, kind, and knowledgable people. I walked in and was greeted right away. They knew my appointment and confirmed what issues I was having and what I was seeking in my visit. The office staff was super helpful and hospitable. Dr herself was very nice and listened to all my concerns. I felt really heard and well taken care of. She took her time with me and offered me all she could to help me feel better. The whole visit didn't take long and was done in a timely fashion. It was a really great experience where I felt really cared for and respected and most of all heard. Everyone was really professional and I would highly recommend as well as refer anyone to go to them for their eye needs. You won't be disappointed!

Both the person at the front desk and the eye doctor were patient, friendly and explained things clearly. The doctor had excellent bedside manner, and made recommendations for my contact lens brand in a way I really appreciated — giving me the information I needed to be well-informed, without being judgmental or pushy. I felt that my health was being prioritized and I wasn’t being upsold. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this provider!
