“The doctor was great. Very communicative, kind, patient, diligent and thorough. The only issue was I was seen 55 minutes after my original appt. time and it felt like the office processes anyone regardless of their appointment in a walk-in manner. I had another appointment following this one and ended up pressed for time and slightly stressed out because of the delay. But the staff was very kind and communicative, which made for a pretty postive experience overall.”

About Dr. Douglas MacDonald

Dr. MacDonald earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before completing his optometric training at the Illinois College of Optometry. His clinic education includes externship rotations at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, The Villages VA, and Miami, FL. These experiences provided a deep appreciation for ocular disease, dry eye management, and specialty contact lens fittings. Outside of the office, I stay active training for triathlons, enjoy exploring new restaurants, and love spending time fishing. I believe a well-rounded life makes for a more connected and compassionate provider, and I look forward to bringing that energy to every patient I see.
