Dr. Liam McCarthy is a fellowship-trained interventional pain medicine specialist. Dr. McCarthy completed his residency of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University at the prestigious Rusk Institute. He went on to complete a fellowship at the anesthesia pain medicine program at Case Western / University Hospitals of Cleveland. His training included the use of minimally invasive procedures done on an outpatient basis to diagnose and treat such common conditions as joint pain of the spine, disc-related problems of the neck and back to more complex pain-related pain issues. Dr McCarthy has the distinct advantage of being trained in both a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency and an anesthesia-based pain fellowship to develop a more diverse approach to pain management.

Dr. McCarthy, listened and understood and asked all the right questions and put me on a new mix and hopefully, this one will work. He understood my complicated history, as I had seen him while I was in the hospital and I am glad that I sought him out to monitor these meds.
