I am an Advanced Registered Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, with 30+ years experience working with adults with mental health issues, both inpatient and outpatient. I am skilled in assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based medication management and counseling.
I completed my master of nursing degree in 2002, and my PhD in nursing in 2008, both at the University of Washington. I’ve worked in inpatient, crisis intervention settings, partial hospital programs, emergency rooms, substance use, geriatric psychiatry, and community mental health centers.
I am an avid ballroom dancer, fiction writer and poet. I love music of most kinds and enjoy as many outdoor concerts as I can afford, weather permitting. I’m a bit of a tech geek, and always looking for ways to use technology to improve my writing habits, health habits, practice, etc. I love to travel. I have many pets, including dogs, cats, and African Grey parrots.
