I really like Dr. Joyner! She listens to my concerns, asks the appropriate and necessary questions and is very thorough and helpful!
She was amazing! Staff was very efficient and professional. I definitely felt welcomed ??
The wait was long but since it's an urgent care clinic I completely understand that each patient might not have a quick to solve problem. For me it was worth the wait. The waiting room was comfy, the staff excellent. I have had some horrible doctors recently and couldn't find one that I felt comfortable with. Dr. Joyner was amazing! Listened to everything, told me exactly what she could do to help me. I prefer a no nonsense approach and she has just that. Would definitely recommend her!
Really professional, considerate doctor and staff, helpful treatment plan.
Dr. Joyner will listen to you and not rush you through your appointment!
It took 30 minutes to see me, but no biggie because I was in no rush. Doctor. Joyner was very kind, my nurse was also great! Overall felt satisfied and well treated. Just a tad bit of a wait! Possibly could've been an issue if I had somewhere to be or something. But again, no big deal to me.
Doctor Joyner listens with compassion and purpose. I am so glad I found her. Her staff is stellar too!
Just seemed very unprofessional the whole office. The office was dead and it took me over 40 min. For The Dr. To come see me. The only person who felt like was helpful was the front office lady.
She was great!
Waited over an hour to see the doctor. Unprofessional and rude when interacting.
whike the wait was long the staff was very friendly and helpful. The doctor recommended some related tests to the one I wanted (covered by insurance), and reminded me to get a tetanus shot. Overall good experience.
Very down to earth. I was very nervous, but she was great! I'm so glad I chose Dr. Joyner! She addressed all my questions/concerns w/o being judgmental or harsh. She took care of all my needs very efficiently, as I was in a hurry. Thank you Dr. Joyner!
Very helpfull I highly recomend
Dr. Joyner is an awesome doctor. She cares about her patients and is always eager to get to the root of the problem. I drive an hour to go to her because my husband and I really like her practice.
This was an initial meeting and I was really pleased with it! The time frame was off, but the visit was enjoyable and I am excited to work with Dr. Joyner going forward.
Even though the office was unexpectedly short-staffed on the day of my appointment, everyone was competent and friendly. Dr. Joyner was friendly and realistic.
Lisa was wonderful, she was warm, welcoming, and I will definitely go back to see her again.
The longer wait time was likely due to my being a new patient.
Very Nice, Thank You!
From the first phone call setting the appt till time to leave everyone was beyond kind!! Great experience for someone who was as nervous and worried as I was! I totally felt safe and I left feeling knowledgeable
Dr. Joyner is knowledgeable, considerate, and makes patients feel comfortable. She doesn't hurry to a quick diagnosis and kick you out the door. I have discussions about my overall lifestyle and behavior as well as my own expectations and concerns for each visit. Prescription was called in to pharmacy immediately following visit and material for other medical work was completed while I was in the office.
Everyone in the office was very friendly and Dr. Joyner is easy to talk to and very helpful with my questions. All around great experience.
She was great!! Will be back for another appointment soon!
As a physician she was amazing, & her nurses and front of office staff was absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of it!
She didn't seem very knowledgeable and she was unprofessional in my opinion. She didn't ask for symptoms or even try to pinpoint what it was. I told her what I thought it was and she assumed that was it. No examination, she didn't even look at it. I would Never recommend this doctor. I only went there because I needed to be seen before my primary doctor had an opening.
I was a bit upset about having to wait 45 minutes just to get a vaccination.
She was wonderful and very professional. She was on top of everything. Very wonderful office staff too.
she was really nice & helpful!
Long wait time despite not having any other patient in sight. Did not renew the chart before coming to see because she couldn't find it, therefore had no clue about what I was saying. Acted as if being a vegetarian was a crime. Overall a very awkward appointment, and felt like she didn't really want to be there.
Dr. Joyner has been a great primary care physician for me for two years. She is easy to talk to and clearly cares for the well-being of her patients.
No wait and the nicest people!!
She was very helpful and I left happy knowing I got the answers and help I needed! Thank you!
She was great! Super friendly, answered all my questions, and even gave me some great additional advice that I didn't know to ask for. Highly recommend!
This was my second visit and it went great. Every staff member I came into contact with was super friendly and seemed to genuinely care about me as a patient. Dr Joyner is really easy to talk to and I felt really comfortable in her care. I'm happy that i kept looking after having a less than stellar primary care doctor because she's great and I'd recommend her to anybody.
Overall pleasant. Very casual, friendly staff. However, I feel there was a bit of miscommunication, as I went in first and foremost for a prescription renewal for a mood stabilizer -- I've been going through med withdrawals for 5 days that have made me feel like a basket case -- and secondary for chest pain and shortness of breath. They gave me an albuterol breathing treatment, which helped my shortness of breath. However, beforehand they failed to remind me it's a steroid, and failed to go over what possible side effects might be. Steroids can and often do make you feel emotionally volatile and cause mood swings. Thanks for the resulting panic attack and 'roid rage, guys. Had I not been enduring med withdrawals, it probably would have been fine, but I feel like that's something that should have been gone over a little more in depth before I pumped magical mood swing juice straight into my lungs. Part of med withdrawals includes me being fuzzy headed and not being able to think totally clearly. Great doctor, great staff, just a little lacking in thoroughness of details.
it was very good
Dr. Joyner is always a pleasure to see. She's kind, and I never feel rushed when I see her.
Very personable. I made comments about some meds I thought I would attempt to back off of...She made some comments that made sense and changed my mind. I would highly recommend her..Herself and her office staff are very down to earth.
I am pretty picky when it comes to doctors and who I am comfortable with. Dr. Joyner was incredible. She was thorough, informative, and proactive with the problem I had. Would definitely recommend her to anyone. She had also already studied up on my medical history, so she was ready when she came in.
Great DR. ,wil recomend to go no where else. i've met a ot of DR's and she is by far one of the best
Dr Joyner genuinely sat down and took time to talk to me, listened well. She is informed, articulate, warm and personable. I love this place already! Felt like I was in very capable hands.
Listened to ma and got me exactly what I need
I wouldn't recommend this doctor or this office. The staff are unattentive, gossipy and unprofessional. The space is small, the exam rooms are right next to the front desk and the staff are loud talkers so you can hear someone elses health history while you wait. Ive been to this location 3+ times and have yet to recieve any relief. Each time the wait is 40+ minutes and theyre blaring redneck TV the whole time without checking in.
Office was a little busy but Dr. Joyner seemed competent, considerate and willing to listen. Would recommend.
She was great! Very nice and easy to talk to. She wasnt able to help me with my issue as of now because it's more of a waiting game at this point... But she told me exactly what I need to do and what the next few steps are going to be, which was very helpful!
Love Dr. Joyner. Hate the wait times. It is just totally unacceptable.
Dr. Joyner made me feel very comfortable in her office, despite it being my first time there. She treated me for an ear infection and near the end of my appointment, I asked her about something else. Fearing that my mentioning this would be too late in the appointment, I figured she wouldn't have to time talk to me about it. She did, though, and she also made time to perform a test on me!
The doctor is nice. The office does not communicate properly. I always have to call them searching for answers and results. It is frustrating. When I came in for my visit, there was only the doctor and one trainee at the office. I waited a bit before being seen and the trainee had a hard time monitoring my heart rate. Maybe it was just a bad day, but the lack of communication is a deal breaker and I most likely will not return.
The absolute BEST office staff and techs! It's SO rare to walk into a medical office and not be confronted with a weird attitude. Wonderfully polite and cheery staff. The doctor is super down to earth and listened to my needs. Would highly recommend!
Love, love, love Dr. Joyner. Great listener, good questions, warm, friendly, great sense of humor - and she has guided me into speciality care for an issue I'd not taken too seriously before. This was my first visit with her, but definitely not my last. All the staff here are also quite friendly and professional. My only criticism is the long wait time from my arrival at the office to actually meeting with the doctor.
Wait time was a bit long, but the whole office staff was friendly and Dr. Joyner was personable and professional. Booked a same-day appointment through ZocDoc and was sending my doctor's note to HR that afternoon - so convienent!
I really enjoy seeing Dr. Joyner! She always has good advice and works with me to discover the right treatment process for me. I would highly reccomend her!
Very easy to talk to. Highly recommended
She is a great doc seems to care and wants to fix your problems not just bandaid th!
Dr. Joyner and her staff were professional and compassionate, and it was such a joy to have a doctor that actually welcomed my input and experience with my chronic condition. It's a rarity in the Western medical world to feel empowered by a physician, and I am grateful to have found Dr. Joyner!
Lisa and all the staff were professional and friendly. They all listened and we're helpful. I was doubtful an appointment could ever be pleasant or nice but it was both. I look forward to making Lisa my practitioner and even to future visits!
Everything went smoothly. The front desk was incredibly helpful, I arrived early but was seen right away; there were no surprises during the visit, but everything I asked about was addressed. They were even able to give me a tetanus shot after I realised it'd been ten years since my last one! All in all, a great and easy visit.
I liked the doctor and her staff...very professional as well as supportive.
I'm going through a complicated medical issue with many symptoms. Frequently I've gone over my symptoms, and she acts surprised that I'm having some of them, even though I know I've talked about this in our bi monthly appointments. She's recently ignored concerns regarding my treatment path and history. I'm changing to another doctor for primary care and won't be seeing her again.
She was to the point and she explain everything very well. I'm going to have her for my primary doctor
Lisa is amazing, strAight to the point, informative and gets the job done.
Very engaged and thorough. Would highly recommend.
Dr Joyner was very professional and courteous as always.
I have seen Dr Joyner before, That is why I went back. She is very accurate with her treatment and llistens. I am already feeling better! Thank you Dr Joyner!!!
Dr. Joyner was very professional and the staff is very friendly and proficient. I would Definitely recommend this practice.
No problems checking in and every staff member I encountered was smiling and friendly. Communication was easy, no judgments, and helpful suggestions from her. It was my first pap and they all did their best to make me feel comfortable and let me know everything that was going on. would definitely recommend her!
First time seeing Dr. Joyner - She was very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend her!
I should have listened to the other review. I did not have a good experience at this office. The front desk and nurse were very nice, the actual doctor made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. Once seeing the doctor she pretty much laughed in my face and questioned me of where I got the medication that I was trying to get a refill for. She didn't ask any question of why I needed it or anything medical. I felt like I was doing something wrong. I have never felt so uncomfortable going to see a doctor in my life! I will not be going back.
Dr Joyner was amazing!! I would not hestitate to go back or Refer friends.
Professional and friendly
You know when you share your concerns with your doctor and they dismiss them in such a manner that you feel embarrassed, frustrated, and vulnerable? That's awful. That's also how I felt seeing Dr. Joyner. My experience in her office today is the exact reason why I avoid going to see a doctor in the first place.
I waited for over 30 minutes even though I arrived on time for my appointment. I was told that Dr. Joyner was "in a meeting," and was finishing up shortly. About 10 minutes later, I saw her casually strolling through the parking lot with her take out container from lunch. Once I actually made it into the exam room, it was about another 10-15 minute wait for Dr. Joyner to come see me. She was not very friendly and made me feel like she was just throwing random prescriptions at me. She kept asking me what prescriptions I wanted??? Lastly, I waited in the lobby for another 10 minutes for her to write my prescriptions, then get a phone call an hour later saying that "I left before they could give me a third prescription."
Dr.Joyner is awesome, I'm moving to Nevada and I hope to find a doctor as thorough and compassionate as she is.
She was kind, attentive, and made me feel like she was listening. It is difficult to visit a doctor without feeling like they don't care. For the first time in a long time, I felt like more than a number.
There rude and don't make you feel like your welcome back there clinic won't last.
Dr. Joyner was very professional, yet friendly. She was very helpful and caring. I would definitely see her again.
Dr. Joyner is the best!
I was very pleased with Dr Joyners helpfulness and understanding. She listened to my concerns and was very clear with her suggestions and actions
Awesome great care!
I was not pleased that I was given ointment for bumps on my skin which she thought was a staff infection. I began using it and I noticed it was getting worse. I ended up calling and the receptionist explained that she would get the answer and give me a call back (as usual I never received that call) Finally I received a voicemail from the specialist herself stating to discontinue use of the ointment because the test results came back and I do not have a staff infection. Meanwhile, I have been using this prescribed ointment for 2 weeks before she finally found out that it wasn't what she thought. I haven't gone since, I dont trust her.
I need medication renewed .my Dr got sick and quit.
I havent seen a doctor since my pregnancy period with my six year old, so this visit for me was awkward. Thankfully, Dr. Joyner and her staff made it easy for me, my visit went well. Check in was fast, seen right away, and her assistant that took me in the room was very nice and down to earth and thankfully so is Dr. Joyner. They got me out of their office in a timely manner. Overall great experience.
The best appointment I've had in a long time .
Dr. Joyner is awesome. She's understanding, compassionate and is always willing to spend time with you to discuss your concerns, options, etc. Her flexibility on appointment hours really helps out, too.
I love visiting Dr. Lisa Joyner. She is very straight forward and kind. This allows her to get straight to the point and provide the best care options available.
Dr Joyner treats my wife with compassion and and great common sense. She is highly knowledgeable and professional with excellent communication skills. I feel very fortunate that she is my wife's Dr. Jamie Gilbert Support and caregiver.
Veey friendly and listened to my concerns. I felt comfortable with her and staff that I talked with. The wait was longer than I expected but receptionist kept talking with me and others that were waiting too.
I hadn't seen a doctor in a long while, and Dr. Joyner made me feel perfectly at ease. She was very understanding and thoughtful and seemed to have a high interest in her job. The staff have all been exceptionally friendly and personable as well.
Every one there was courteous and respectful. All had smiles and were willing to help & very accommodating. I'm sure I'll be back. Thanks for taking care of me.
She's so great- down to earth and gets to the point while giving you all your options. You feel like an individual to her not just another patient.
Lisa Joyner was great! She was very attentive & showed genuine interest in my health and history. I am happy to recommend her to my friends and family.
I felt very comfortable around Dr. Joyner, and she was both knowledgable and interested in helping me holistically determine what might be causing my symptoms.
She was so great and personable and I didn't feel like she was trying to rush to get to someone else.
I loved my visit with Dr. Joyner. My primary care physician that I have been with for years sold her practice so I was looking for just the right new Dr. and I found her! I'm so pleased.
I had a good time. The atmosphere was relaxed and she listened.
Great experience!! I highly recommend Dr. Joyner!
She is excellent! Very informative and just a genuinely nice lady. She answered all of my questions and I didn't feel rushed or like my problems weren't being addressed. I would highly recommend her.
Dr Joyner has been my Dr for a while now, and I can say 100 percent certainty ahe is the best Dr I have ever had. I am going thru a hard time with health issues. She has helped me greatly by being knowledgeable, and communicates with me in a manner that gives me hope. She listens and she cares. Compassion and communication as well as being a very good Dr are here strong points. Her nurse Jenny is also compassionate and great.
Thought she was wonderful! Whole staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely keeping her as my primary doctor!
Dr. Joyner is great! Unfortunately, her office is over-booked/understaffed. Each time labwork was done I had to call in to find out about results. Referals were not followed through on. Specialists could not get her to call them back for consult and her office did not send records to specialists without prodding.
This was my first visit to Dr. Joyner. I needed a PCP and decided to have a meet and greet to see if Dr. Joyner and I would be a match. I really liked her casual, yet professional, manner and she has a nice sense of humor. She made a slight adjust to my meds and I'll be seeing her again in a few months.
I felt as though Dr. Joyner listened to my concerns and is willing to look for answers to my health issues. Her office staff, and nurse are also amazing!
She is very understanding and compassionate, I think she may take a couple of appointments to warm up to her patients, but I'm starting to really like her.
She made me feel welcome and she listened to me. She was informative and answered my questions.
This was the worst appointment I have ever experienced. I felt unsafe and Dr. Joyner talked down to me rather than with me. Her professionalism was beyond bad and I would not recommend anyone visit her or her clinic.
Went out her way to be awesome
she is quick, accurate, and very nice and professional.
I felt that I was rushed and not all my questions were answered. I do however feel that if she would of had more time, I would of liked my visit more. I think they book appointments to close together so if one should take a little longer, the rest of the appointments are cut short.
She is amazing, as is everyone in the office. Highly recommended!
Dr. Joyner was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. I felt at ease immediately, as she has a calm, warm demeanor. She came in familiar with my paperwork and ready to figure out the cause for my hand pain. She also took the time to explain everything in a way that I could understand, even showing me my x-rays. During our appointment, she gave me her complete attention and didn't make me feel rushed at all. I actually thought it felt long — in a good way. I'm not used to getting that sort of time from a doctor. Finally, her staff is also incredibly friendly and interested in getting to know you. Going to the doctor is not a comfortable experience for me, but this was a positive exception to that. I'll be happy to go back to Dr. Joyner for future health check-ups and concerns.
I was happy with the visit and look forward to having her as my primary care doctor from here on out. It is also wonderful that she is open on Saturday, to help with my work schedule.
Dr. Joyner, always listens to you and is caring. She is the first Dr I have not had a panic attack before I go to an appointment. She follows up when needed, orders labs exactly when you need them, and is very knowledgeable. I am so grateful I found her.
Professional, to the point, discussed various investigative strategies and actions needed
Lisa really cares. I went in what what i thought was a mild skin condition, she diagnosed it as a weight related problem. I've just started anew with working out and eating right, She was honesty, friendly, and approachable while we discussed societal and personal causes of excessive weight gain. After our talk, I found that a doctor for the first time has taken an interest in my personal healthy and is helping me work towards my weight loss goal.
She was very sweet! Highly recommended.
I am new to Portland and was in need of a new Primary Care Physician. Dr. Joyner had some great reviews, so I thought I would give her a try. I am so glad that I did! Dr. Joyner was extremely patient, thorough and just super sweet! She never rushed my visit and made me feel very comfortable discussing my medical history. Her nurse was extremely gentle (I needed blood work) and personable. Her Front Desk, in my book, wins the "Friendliest in Portland" award! She was light hearted, helpful, and gave a nice first impression. They all work as a great team and seem like a little family. If I could give more stars... I would!
She is really gentle and kind. Even though there are many difficult explanation about the symptom, she has tried to describe easily and made sure that I understood what she said.
Calm and caring. Easy to trust her
Lisa Joyner, Md is a very friendly and thorough doctor.
Wonderful! She actually took time to talk with me instead of the usual rush-rush-rush that you get with most doctors. A+!
Pleasant, enjoy Dr Joyner and the staff.
Very pleased! I am new to the area and have not had the best of luck in the past with finding a doctor I truly felt at ease with and that I could say really listened to me. I am SO thankful to have found Dr. Joyner! Can't say enough good about her (even after just one visit!) The office staff is great, too!
Dr. Joyner was great at pinpointing my problem right away and the staff was very pleasant too.
I was pleased by Dr. Joyner's friendly attitude and professionalism.
She was great. Most in depth medical history that i've had in awhile.
Enjoyed my visit even though I was sick, go figure. Look forward to working with her in the future.
She listens well and is knowledgeable.
She is VERY professional, caring and has a comforting attitude.
The front office staff was helpful, personable and very quick with paperwork. Dr. Joyner herself was very thorough, helpful and took the time to listen to all my concerns and questions. I was very impressed with her and her office staff, as someone who works in the medical field and I deal with doctors and staff everyday I can truly say that this office is friendly, professional and efficient. (A rare office!)
Doctor Joyner was very personable. She made me feel comfortable. I will definitely go back to see her again.
I felt like she actually cared. Plus the office was open on SATURDAY. Amazing
Again and again, her knowledge, patience and willingness to take the time to discover what the issue is provesto me she is one of the best doctors in Portland.
She is very professional and sensitive to your needs. I would recommend to family and friends.
Dr. Joyner is great. I was seen right away. She was very thorough in answering all of my questions and addressing my problems. I look forward to using her as my new primary care doctor.
Mrs.Joyner was a pleasure to talk with, seemed very compassionate, knowlgeable ,about my well-being I look forward to seeing her again......nice doc
Dr. Joyner and staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. My previous experiences with Dr.'s have been ...not so pleasant and it was very refreshing to see a Dr. that was professional, listened asked questions and made my appointment a breeze. Highly recommended;)
Excellent. Changed her to my primary care physican. Can not recommend her and her staff high enough.
Dr. Joyner and her staff are extremely attentive and professional. They care about their patients and it shows! I have never been more at ease in a doctor's office than I was at Dr. Joyner's.
She is the greatest
She was very interested in what was going on with me, she took the time to ask questions about my health, and she shows that she has the heart for the job she loves and the patients she cares for.
I don't like going to the doctor. I had to really talk myself into it. Worse then that, I knew I'd have a hard time explaining my symptoms. I knew I probably had a concussion but I was unsure how it was actually affecting me. It seems she went out of her way to cover all the basis to make sure I was fully taken care of and made me glad I came in.
Good and fast
I had a great visit. Hadn't been in for awhile and they made me fee like they really missed me.
Very comfortable :) I wasn't worried or nervous at all with her. I felt like she was honestly interested in me as well as my health and it was generally an excellent experience. Definitely going back (:
Dr Joyner was great! she is very patient and her bedside manner with my mother was excellent. Dr Joyner took the time to really listen.
Very caring. She listens intentively. Very empathetic.
I thought Lisa was very professional and made me feel completely comfortable. I wish I would have found her sooner.
I highly recommend Dr. Joyner. She was very professional, knowledgeable. The whole experience was quick and easy.
She is professional and like a good friend or sister to me when she interviewed me before performing the pap smear. She made the pap spear easy and painless. My first pap smear 10 yrs. ago was very uncomfortable and painful. Now, Lisa made my latest exam very enjoyable :) I will highly recommend her. She is fantastic!!
