Dr. Melissa Hemphill is passionate about integrative medicine and preventive care. She especially enjoys taking care of children and adolescents. “I chose family medicine because it champions comprehensive, long-term medical care that focuses on quality of life, shared decision-making and care for entire communities,” she says. She cares deeply about health advocacy and changing health policy to create a healthier Oregon. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Dr. Hemphill earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She completed her training with Providence Milwaukie Family Medicine Residency and went on to obtain fellowship training from Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. Dr. Hemphill is a native Oregonian. In her free time, she enjoys reading, rock climbing and trying to be a better cook. She is taking piano lessons and wants to learn Spanish
