Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Lisa Sherman attended Boston College where she graduated magma cum laude with a Bachelor of Science and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Having received her medical degree from the University Connecticut School of Medicine, she then worked with Dr. Thomas Kupper as a postdoctoral fellow in immunology and dermatology at the Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Sherman went on to complete her dermatology residency at Barnes, serving as chief resident in her final year. With her background in research and having authored several publications, she then turned to clinical medicine, founding a practice in Virginia before returning to New England to join Northeast Dermatology Associates in 2008.
