Lonny J. Behar, M.D. a graduate of Princeton and the University at Buffalo School of Medicine, is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and has more than thirty years experience in the field. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a former Laughlin Fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Behar has been treating patients in his Summit office since 1992 and has been in full-time private practice since 2000. Prior to that he worked in academic medicine, teaching, and clinical administration. Dr. Behar provides treatment in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He evaluates and treats patients age eight and older. Initial evaluations are 90 minutes in length. Dr. Behar will contact you by phone prior to your initial evaluation.
