Dr. Kalish was thorough, went through all of my history, as I was a new patient. She eased my concerns and explained why. She spent quality time to understand my entire health picture and my concerns.

This doctor was very professional and competent. She listened to my concerns and ordered a reasonable set of tests. I think she made a lowball estimate of the amount of pain I was actually in, but she did her job well and fully.
The office, however, was pretty ridiculous. They refused to accept my insurance because I didn't have an actual insurance card--even though I had my Group number, member ID etc. Since I'm a college student with insurance through my college, I've never received an actual insurance card, only my insurance info. Literally every other office I've been to in the last two years has been willing to accept this information sans card. Since the office refused to accept my insurance, I had to pay out of pocket.
I now have to contact my insurance and hope they'll be wiling to pay for the requested tests. If not, this office visit was entirely in vain.
I would recommend that, as a patient, you consider working with a more flexible office. A good doctor is hard to find, but I don't think that doctor is worth the hassle--and many people simply cannot afford to pay out of pocket.

Awful! This was my first time seeing her and when we went over my medical history she was so incredibly rude to me that I had to walk out of the appointment early and was refunded for my visit.
